Crowds have never been a problem in the past for holmdel at least in my opinion. But tomorrow will be interesting especially since this year has less stages than usual. There is a big grass field on the property that used to have one of the main stages but the past couple years hasn't been used. I wonder if maybe they will put some stuff over there again to space it out a bit more
I'm bringing granola bars and fruit snacks, and then a couple of bottles of water and mini gatorades. Hopefully they're ok with that.
Am I allowed to bring an empty refillable water bottle? I figured I'll bring one and fill it up as soon as I get there
Yes. at my date in the past they let you bring in as many empty bottles as you want and one sealed one.
My venue has food sold on a ticket system where you buy a roll of 15 food tickets, and then a cheeseburger is like 6 tix or whatever. Because of the way the system is setup I never complained about food prices cause I just knew I wanted to spend all my tix to get the best value.
I'd been doing VA/MD since 2012 but had to skip VA this year because of work...the wait until MD will be loooong. :/
It was my first time doing VA or another date in general and I'm very happy I did it. There are bands now I don't have to worry about missing in MD if they conflict with anyone else since I saw them in VA. I also think the amphitheater in VA is better than the one at Merriweather.
It's late and this is to the best of my memory and not in order or complete but: To The Threshold I Will Be Heard As Diehard As They Come Destroy Everything Tear It Down Proven Smash Your Enemies Looking Down The Barrel of Today Jamey mentioned trying to place something from all of their albums.
Starting my first of the dates I’m going to today! If you see me say hello - wearing a yellow shirt that says “empathy” on it and I have purple hair!
Shiragirl is in the amphitheater, the two journeys stages are in the parking lot facing each other. Unsure how they’ll fit so many people in here
Camden was my first of four(potentially five??) dates I’m going to this summer Heat and sun were brutal it felt like. Or maybe cuz my arms are still healing from my tattoos over the winter. Anyways it was a good fucking day. My major conflicts being Amity/Ryan Key because I wanted to hear some Yellowcard. And then Real Friends/MIW. Which I chose motionless. Movements played first and they had a decent sized crowd for the morning. Trash Boat was PHENOMENAL. Blown away by the crowd and by the band. Highly recommend seeing them. Four Year Strong was FYS. Typical set, but they still put on a hell of a show and the crowds are always good and my brother didn’t break his nose this time! Knuckle Puck was also really fucking great and I always forget how much I enjoy them until I see them live. Ryan Key was good. I mean it wasn’t anything Yellowcard but it was good to hear Ocean Ave for one last time on warped tour. Simple Plan was very underwhelming despite having a huge crowd. Then came my 90 minute block at the Mutant stages. Every Time I Die followed by Hatebreed followed by Senses Fail. I came out of they 90 minute stretch feeling like My Head was gonna explode. ‘TID was excellent as always, Hatebreed had a huge crowd and being a diehard from CT it was a great performance. Senses Fail had one of the biggest crowds at the Mutant stages and put on such a great show. After that I finally had a break and my brother and I rested until we saw Bowling For Soup who was honestly also really underwhelming but had probably the biggest crowd of the day. Then I caught Motionless in White who EASILY had the biggest crowd for the Mutant stages. They sounded perfect as always and changed up the setlist. Finally caught the last fifteen minutes of State Champs set and they killed it. Overall Camden was a top notch, can’t wait for Sunday now in Hartford Biggest crowds of the day from what I saw Bowling for Soup State Champs Motionless in White Simple Plan Hatebreed.
Same to all of this... you might think my shirt says Defend pop punk but it really says Defend Top Bunk. And I’m wearing some neon yellow short swim trunks like our dads wore in the 80s. And a Celtics hat. I’m going alone,I’d love to meet all the people & hang!
Homdel Times If I went today 11:15 - Ice Nine Kills (conflict w/Knuckle Puck) 11:40 - Sleep On It (conflict w/ This Wild Life) Break? 1:15 - Waterparks 1:40 - With Confidence (conflict w/Real Friends) 2:20 - Don Broco 2:45 - Movements (conflict with Motionless In White) 3:45 - The Maine 4:20 - Broadside (conflict w/Amity Affliction) 5:40 - As It Is 6:15 - State Champs 7:15 - Mayday Parade 6:45 - Tonight Alive 7:45 - Four Year Strong 8:15 - Issues (conflict w/Chase Atlantic and Wage War) FUCK. THESE. ISSUES. CONFLICTS. THEY HAPPEN EVERY DAY.
Camden yesterday was a total blast. Not TOO many conflicts, saw mostly everyone I wanted to see with the exception of maybe one or two bands. Sharptooth stood out as one of the best sets of the day for me. Also INK debuted the new song live that they released yesterday, so that was really cool. All in all a really solid day.
Also, is Less Than Jake playing Chicago? They have it on their tour dates but it’s never been announced that I have seen
I’m hoping they do, but it’s unlikely. They’re playing Tinley Park a month later at 350 Fest, which is presumably why they’re not on the Warped Tour lineup for Tinley Park. It is interesting that the date is on their website, though.
