watic did that one year too buy merch to meet one year you had to spend at least 10 in merch to meet issues at their signing and i bought the cd cuz i wanted anyway. it was ticketed
Been meaning to get into Senses Fail and is anyone else confused by why they're not playing any songs from their last 2 albums on this run?
First of all, how dare you Waterparks are amazing (I kid, I know they aren’t for everyone.) also that scenario you posted is impossible because all 3 of those bands are on the left foot stage
They played Gold Jacket, Green Jacket... from If There Is Light, but nothing from Pull the Thorns from Your Heart. From what I know PTTFYH wasn't that huge of an album in their discography, besides they have to make room for the nostalgic classics.
Went to the San Antonio date. Had kind of a terrible experience thanks to the person I went with. Also the venue's layout was not the greatest, everything felt way too close together and crowded. The bands I actually got to see were really cool. I'm excited to get a re-do next weekend in Camden/Holmdel.
Anyone here going to the Nashville date on Tuesday? Curious about how the venue is (have only been to Cali stops before) and if they have a beer garden?
11:00 - RILEY (half-set) 11:15 - Grayscale (half-set) 11:30 - Four Year Strong (conflict w/ Wage War) 12:00 - State Champs 12:35 - As It Is (conflict w/ Real Friends) 1:00 - Waterparks (conflict w/ Chase Atlantic) 1:30 - The Maine 2:00 - Issues (conflict with Dayseeker) 2:35 - With Confidence 3:00 - 3OH!3 *Break* 4:00 - Hail The Sun 4:35 - Don Broco *Break* 5:30 - Ice Nine Kills 6:00 - Bowling For Soup 6:30 - Trash Boat/This Wild Life (Split) 7:00 - Knuckle Puck 7:30 - Amity Affliction (conflict w/ Movements) 7:55 - Picturesque (conflict w/ Senses Fail and Mayday Parade) This would've been a tough day to make decisions for, but I got my time down to under 10 mins which is good. Chase Atlantic seems to be consistently hitting conflicts with all my favorite main stage bands which sucks.
11:15 - Grayscale 12:00 - State Champs 12:30 - Real Friends 1:00 - Motionless In White (Waterparks conflict) 1:30 - The Maine 2:00 - Issues 2:35 - With Confidence 3:00 - Every Time I Die 3:30 - Sharptooth 3:55 - Doll Skin 4:30 - Simple Plan 5:00 - Reel Big Fish 5:30 - Ice Nine Kills 6:00 - Bowling For Soup 6:30 - MyChildren MyBride 7:00 - Knuckle Puck 7:30 - Movements 8:00 - Mayday Parade Probably the first date that conflicts wouldn't be too hard for me. The Motionless/Waterparks conflict would bum me out a bit and ETID/3OH!3 would suck but that's an obvious choice.
I've been to the nashville date every year since it started back up in 2014. It's at the fairgrounds which has a racetrack. One year it rained and they opened up the racetrack seating for cover, but its basically held in just a big field behind the racetrack. I don't remember a beer garden, but I think i remember people walking around with beers, but i am underage so i never paid much attention. It has a typical warped set up with the two main stages next to each other and then the two monster next to each other. I've been to atl and i much prefer nashville, the biggest downside is that there's no place with shade and the ground where they place the main stages can get kicked up and make the air really dusty if it hasnt rained in a while
Shout out to the Houston weather for not disappointing on the last Warped Tour. Such a bummer for the people there today hopefully the storm passes quickly. Is there another stop on the tour that’s had more weather issues than the Houston date?
What my schedule would be had everything not gone to hell: 1130 - Wage War 1200 - State Champs 1230 - Real Friends 100 - Motionless in White 130 - The Maine (or small break) 200 - Dayseeker 230 - Chelsea Grin 300 - Every Time I Die 330 - SharpTooth (or break) 400 - Hail The Sun (or break) 435 - Don Broco (or break) 530 - Ice Nine Kills 600 - In Hearts Wake 635 - Trash Boat 700 - Knuckle Puck 730 - Movements 800 - Senses Fail Conflicts would be Dayseeker v. Issues, and Trash Boat v. This Wild Life. Overall not a bad day. Though if there's some sort of edited schedule I'm sure I'll do that as well.
I’ve been lucky. Rain has only been an issue at 3 dates I’ve ever attended (I’ve gone to one a year since 2005). In 2008 it started pouring at about 6. I tried watching Relient K and Against Me! But the rain was too bad and I went inside a building for shelter. We were going to watch Four Year Strong, Katy Perry and Anberlin to end the day but FYS got rained out (they were on a tiny side stage). We decided to leave at that point and of course as soon as we got out of the gates it stopped raining. In 2014 it was raining while we were watching The Maine so we left their set a bit early to go under the amphitheater. We had a break after them anyways and the next band we wanted to see was there. When we planned to leave the amphitheater it had stopped raining. Last year the drive was hell as it had rained all night/morning and there were sections of the highway covered in a foot of water and the venue got flooded so the 2nd Journeys stage didn’t start until 3:30 but otherwise it didn’t affect me.
Seems like the show will go on, just at a 70 minute delay on the owly.fm stage and differing times for the main stage.
