More ramblings: -I didn't really understand the whole "you have to see Every Time I Die at Warped" craze at first and then about 10 minutes in Keith told the audience to crowd surf and then I had 4 people on top of me at once. Now I get it. -Senses Fail was probably the most fun I've ever had at a Warped set. Everyone was just so into it and the energy was just non stop. -Tom Barber is a HUGE improvement to Cheslea Grin's live show. I liked them with Alex, but I fucking love them with Tom. He hits Alex shit that he just couldn't do anymore. Also he likes a lot happier to be on CG rather than Lorna Shore. Like I did a mental comparison and he just seemed bored with Lorna Shore the one time I saw them. -If you do anything at Warped go see Trash Boat they're killer live and such humble people. -I'm really glad I gave State Champs a second chance. The first time I saw them they must habe just had an off night, because this time they were really spot on. Man what a way to end my last Warped date!
I totally agree about Senses Fail and Trash Boat. Both were amazing live and very fun. Buddy was having a great time up there and the crowd went nuts for the covers .
Because I don’t feel like wandering around by myself and standing outside in the heat all day just to see Simple Plan, who I hardly want to see anyway. The lineup is such trash. What a way to go out....
The only bands I'm really a fan of on the lineup are the ones who have been playing every other year for the past like 10 years, and I'm tired of seeing them at Warped. That said, I did a lot of research and I'm most excited to see the bands on the smaller stages that I hadn't heard of until recently. Part of me wishes I was going to the Denver date alone so that I can see as many of these smaller bands as possible. I know most of my group is gonna want to watch the main stages most of the day, but I'm tired of those bands. I agree, the lineup is crap, and it makes me believe that Warped should be done, but I do think it's still worth going. Always a fun day regardless of who is playing.
They really should have put smaller Owly bands (Sleep on It, etc.) on Full Sail and made Owly a bigger stage.
I agree they should’ve went to a 2 Monster, 2 main and 2 side stage layout but at the same time I understand that they lost money last year and no one could’ve assumed they’d sell so many tickets this year, even advertised as the last one. So I get trying to keep costs down but man, what could’ve been.
If only ticket sales sold like they are this year every year we wouldn’t be seeing an ending to Warped
I’m a 28 year old dude who walked around in the sun by himself for two days and had a blast. That said, if you’re not especially psyched for any of these bands, yeah don’t force yourself...
Yo, I just won tickets from the Idobi Radio Warped Memories contest, so it looks like I'll be finding a way to the Chicago date
Four Year Strong/Grayscale/Senses Fail State Champs/Wage War The Maine/Trash Boat Knuckle Puck/Ice Nine Kills Fuck, these conflicts would've killed me today.
1100 - In Hearts Wake 1135 - Hail The Sun (or get a good spot for CG) 1205 - Chelsea Grin 1235 - Senses Fail 105 - Wage War 200 - Reel Big Fish (or break) 230 - Real Friends 300 - Issues 400 - Knuckle Puck 430 - Movements 535 - Motionless in White 6:05-7:10 - Break 715 - Trash Boat Conflicts would have been Senses Fail/Wage War v. State Champs, Knuckle Puck/Movements v. Dayseeker/Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White v. This Wild Life, and Trash Boat v. Every Time I Die. On the plus side for this schedule I could beat the traffic since I have absolutely no interest in BVB, but this one would have had a lot of conflicts (a lot of which would have killed me).
Has anyone else seen NFG’s new Instagram profile picture? https://www.instagram.com/newfoundglory Seems like they should be getting announced any moment now...
Haha looking at the SLC date schedule, if I had gone, I would have only needed to be there from 12:30 to 4:30 in order to see all 5 bands that I had any interest in.
