I hate that ETID is doing the full tour because it means I have to wait until the fall to see them in a club, but I understand why they’re doing it.
Bands I wanna see Simple Plan. Don Broco. The Amity Affliction. Mayday Parade. 3oh!3. Every Time I Die. State Champs. Motionless In White. As It Is. The Maine. This Wild Life. Waterparks. Issues. Makeout. With Confindence. We The Kings. Bands I’m going to check out more to see if I can get into them. Movements. Broadside. Hail the Sun. Knuckle Puck. Dayseeker. Sharptooth. In Hearts Wake.
I'm liking this lineup, not loving but enough for me to want to go. My Left Foot only has 7 bands one day wouldn't be surprised if we get a few more bands. Top-Tier Simple Plan Real Friends Knuckle Puck Movements Mayday Parade Want To See FYS The Used RBF Issues The Maine ETID State Champs Why Not? Deez Nuts Harm's Way Kublai Khan Grayscale Trash Boat Only for the memez 3OH!3 Makeout
Now I'm gonna play a game where I listen to a little bit of each of the bands that I've never heard of before and write out what I think of them/if I am going to see them, or if I am going to stay far the fuck away from them at WT this year: State Champs - basic newer pop punk. i don't hate it though. This Wild Life - is this Dashboard Confessional-lite for the pop punk kids who graduated HS last year? bad. Waterparks - this sounds like Hellogoodbye, but in a bad way. it's very 2006. also in a bad way. Issues - Justin Bieber's vocals over metalcore riffs. Jesus Christ this is bad. Real Friends - this is decent. kind of like TSL-lite. kinda boring though. Tonight Alive - the singer sounds exactly like Avril Lavigne. it's fine... The Amity Affliction - lost me when the double bass came in... no thanksss Chelsea Grin - What. The. Fuck. Is. This. Ice Nine Kills - Awful Kublai Khan - i can't tell if this is supposed to be oldschool hardcore or if it's more metal. i don't think i like it. MyChildren MyBride - no Sharptooth - this could be fun live, but i don't like it, haha, if that makes sense Twiztid - this is fine i guess Wage War - sounds like every other band in this genre Crown the Empire - not doin' it for me Dayseeker - boring Every Time I Die - no thanks Hail the Sun - kinda circa survive/coheed-ish, but catering more to metalcore kids. it's fine. Harms Way - awful. fuck. In Hearts Wake - sounds like most of the other bands i've heard so far on this list Nekrogoblikon - jesus christ... haha. a goblin singing over king diamond tracks? no thanks. Unearth - guys. i can't stand metal. As It Is - this is so corny and bad. Assuming We Survive - a punk band. yes. this is pretty good. Broadside - this is pretty good Capstan - i really like this actually Chase Atlantic - is this what high school kids are listening to when they lose their virginity? Dead Girls Academy - no thanks Doll Skin - snooze Don Broco - this is music that pop kids and metal kids can listen to together... it's bad though Grayscale - generic hot topic band Makeout - 5SOS? no thanks Payale Royale - fucking bad Phinehas - sounds like Fight Paris but not funny... this is bad Picturesque - what's with all these metalcore bands with pop vocalists? so weird Story Untold - yeah, i like this Trash Boat - i can get behind this With Confidence - this is ok, but pretty generic pop punk Farewell Winters - everything about this band sounds really weird and out of place Lightburns - NOT ON SPOTIFY
If your dates lineup looks weak, you’ll have a special guest or two. Most dates will. Bieber could’ve played main stage with Wiz Khalifa and everyone still would’ve gotten tickets anyway.
There's probably 3 bands on this I'd actually be excited to see. This would be actually good if there weren't so many partial bands. I'd see a lot of the ones who aren't hitting Mansfield.
Current must see/would make a priority list (in no order yet): Knuckle Puck State Champs This Wild Life Waterparks All Time Low (6/22-6/24 only) Issues Movements Real Friends Chelsea Grin Ice Nine Kills Wage War Dayseeker Every Time I Die In Hearts Wake Motionless In White Trash Boat I still don't know if I'm going yet since idk where I'll be this summer (if I don't move it's a solid maybe since it isn't hitting up the PNW). Realistically I could probably go without seeing ATL or Waterparks, but even then the problem with this is I've seen every band on here at least once except for Wage War and Trash Boat. But I've also really been wanting to see both acts. I was also considering going to multiple dates but I could probably fit seeing most, if not all of these into 2 or maybe even 1 date.
Must 3Oh!3 Mayday Parade Real Friends Simple Plan Want Reel Big Fish State Champs Less Than Jake We The Kings Every Time I Die Broadside Knuckle Puck If Time Issues Don Broco The Maine Tonight Alive As It Is
checking out some bands i don't know. Capstan - I enjoy a lot Trash Boat - might grow on me The Interrupters - this, this is the kind of shit I want at warped tour. I would have been so much happier with a few more bands like this Grayscale - doesn't do much for me so far, I like it though
