I can’t say I saw it but I will say I remember the Facebook comments going nuts at one point during the live stream about a girl crowdsurfer “falling” so I’m gonna say it’s real.
If anyone is going today, can they please try to get a picture of Unwritten Law’s crowd? I’m just curious how big they can draw
I actually recorded a video of that song yesterday. I rewatched my own video and I can confirm that happened
Oh, I know! I almost considered buying an SD ticket just for them, but I think yesterday proved that 2 days in a row is too much at once. Besides, I saw UL play Sabroso earlier this year, so objectively, I’ve met my quota. Similarly, could anyone please get their setlist as well? I love UL, but they don’t really draw well to their own headliners a lot of the time. Which is a shame, because they’re an excellent live band.
Anyways, if I were there (I was planning on flying out there originally but chose to drive to Denver instead): 11:40 - Wage War 12:10 - Crown the Empire (conflict with FYS) 12:45 - State Champs 1:45 - Reel Big Fish 2:40 - Sharptooth 3:10 - Senses Fail 3:40 - Ice Nine Kills 5:15 - Unwritten Law (conflict with MIW) 5:40 - Mychildren Mybride 6:15 - Simple Plan 7:10 - Dayseeker 7:40 - The Amity Affliction
I saw them at Sabroso in albuquerque and they didn’t pull much of a crowd there either. Made no sense, they’re such a good band! A lot of the crowd only knew Seein’ Red. I think they were the best band of the day. My setlist prediction for them would probably be: Harmonic Teenage Suicide Save Me Lonesome Up All Night Seein’ Red Probably very similar to their Sabroso set
First time I saw them was in Seattle in 2015, playing a 500 cap room to maybe 50 people. Still an awesome show though, everyone in the audience threw down, and the band kept trucking even through the bass suddenly going out and Scott spontaneously losing his voice! They at least seem to do very well in Australia - I will be perpetually jealous that they got Elva and ST tours over the states.
If I went to today. 11:45: Waterparks. 12:15: We The Kings. 12:45: State Champs. 1:15: This Wild Life. 2:10: Every Time I Die. 3:15: 3oh!3. 4:15: Movements. 4:45: The Used. 5:10: Motionless In White. 6:15: Simple Plan. 6:45: Knuckle Puck. 7:15: All Time Low. 7:40: The Amity Affliction. 8:15: The Maine.
Kinda weird to have The Maine playing after All Time Low. I feel like the other way around would be very successful, but I bet a lot of people might not stick around
If my date was today: 1115 - Real Friends 1145 - Waterparks (or merch/food/water break) 1240 - Chelsea Grin 115 - This Wild Life 210 - Every Time I Die 250 - Trash Boat (I think this was their time? I couldn't really read it very well) 315 - Movements (Merch/food/water break) 435 - Doll Skin (or continued break) 510 - Motionless in White 645 - Knuckle Puck 715 - All Time Low 810 - Hail The Sun Edit: Also the set time conflicts on this one were brutal for me. Real Friends v. In Hearts Wake/Wage War, Chelsea Grin v. State Champs, Issues v. Trash Boat, Movements v. Senses Fail/Ice Nine Kills, Knuckle Puck v. Dayseeker
I saw Doll Skin as an opener for a show last year. I had never heard of them before, and their live show was so impressive I bought their album on the spot, and for me it had been a loooong time since I’d done that. Don’t sleep on them! Also obviously I was bummed at the main stage bands only playing a few dates, but damn I wish Hail The Sun were on the whole tour.
Agreed! I only knew one or two songs before their appearance last year, but their performance was amazing. I’m so glad they’re playing the full tour, I hope they blow up soon
Anyone that can go from Chelsea Grin immediately to a band like This Wild Life is a friend of mine. Nice diversity!
Scranton always lets you walk around with beer. I never drink at all day shows, but I've seen plenty of people drinking the last few years.
