You’re making me sad that I decided to duck out after ETID. Nü-metal Senses Fail is something I can fuck with, lol!
Am I the only one bummed at the lack of cool stage props/banners this year? Issues' only stage decoration is a bass drum with Steve Urkel on it
Not trying to make you more sad but they played a medley of Chop Suey!/Bodies/Break Stuff/Bulls On Parade
Alright, now that I’m home, showered, and full of food, I can properly reflect on the day. Here are some observations/options I made of this year: -Simple Plan and The Used were hands down the biggest crowds I’ve ever seen at a Warped Tour. If you plan on seeing either, plan accordingly -This Warped is surely gonna help Movements. They had a really good crowd at their set today -The crowds at the Mutant stages were smaller than usual this year, which was pretty strange to me. Even ETID didn’t have as big of a crowd as usual (and maybe being up against The Used didn’t help). Twiztid also had the smallest Mutant stage crowd I saw all day -Despite the smaller crowds, Senses Fail has the largest Mutant crowd I saw today, and also one of the largest overall. I’m still curious as to why they weren’t on a Foot stage Overall, while not the best Warped I’ve been to, it was still a fun year. And while the lineup wasn’t incredible, I am still happy. I’m gonna miss this tour so much (but not the gnarly sunburns) To everyone on here, have fun at your date! Especially all you Ventura folks!
This was my 3rd time going My day went like this: Trash Boat- finally got to see them, they were good This Wild Life-sounded great, left during the last song to see Harm's Way Harm's Way-good shit Movements-cool to seem them get this big, sound was great Knuckle Puck- dont know if it was on the stream as well, but they didn't sound right. First time seeing them, has Joe always sounded higher pitched live or was the audio fucked? Four Year Strong-nothing too crazy setlist wise, but it was still a good set Mayday Parade- was planning on seeing them, but went to get water and missed most of their set. Didn't expect that refilling my bottle was going to take this long Real Friends- this is the best i've seen them State Champs-good shit Grayscale-not that familiar with them, at least they played some of the songs I'm familiar with Motionless In White-havent seen them since 2012 and they're still great live Chelsea Grin-the dude from Lorna Shore was great, I actually like this CG better than the one with Alex In Hearts Wake-didnt listen to them that much before and now I am. They were really good. If you're into the Monster stage bands you should check them out. Every Time I Die-pretty sure this website knows what ETID brings Favorite sets were: ETID, State Champs, and Real Friends Honorable sets:Movements and In Hearts Wake Sun burn status: I thought I put enough sun screen on throughout the day, but I was wrong.
Via twitter someone got beat up in the pit today wearing a shirt that said Trump is my president. Like dude you are wearing that to warped of all places? You are guaranteed to get your ass torn up. And probably deserve it.
Last year when I went to Warped one of the security guards was wearing a MAGA hat. Honestly didn't think it was ok to wear things that endorse a candidate in that job.
Presidents are no reason to jump someone (unless they’re running around intentionally causing problems). I hope they got their asses kicked out, politics aside. Anyways, I honestly thought the Used’s setlist was a little disappointing, I might skip them if there’s a conflict, especially if the crowds are that massive for them
Also, if anyone is interested, this is every band I managed to squeeze in today: Trash Boat Kublai Kahn Movements Hail The Sun (the last 30 seconds of their last song lmao) Deez Nuts Mayday Parade Real Friends We The Kings Reel Big Fish Unearth The Maine Twiztid (only their first two songs) Simple Plan The Used (only their first two songs) Every Time I Die (2nd half of set) Senses Fail
I don’t remember the entire setlist/order, but I recall them playing: Gold Jacket Green Jacket Bite To Break Skin The 90’s/2000’s Metal medley Can’t Be Saved Lungs Like Gallows
They were good performers. One thing I thought was odd was that their backing tracks for each song were literally the complete studio recording (original recorded vocals and everything), but I still enjoyed them. I didn’t really get to see much of their stage talk other than one of them asking for people to start a pit (even thought their crowd was pretty small...) Also, they have a live drummer playing with them, and that was a neat addition
