Oh happy day. I thought they were never gonna bounce back.

Seconded. Believe me, I hope they won't. I just know this tour at this point.

I'm surprised they didn't break up yet, they have like 15 past members that left in the span of their 5 year existence and all of them can't stand Ronnie

FIR will play in 2018 and will draw well. If having a ton of past members was a sign of breaking up, 80% of still active Classic Rock and 80s/90s Punk bands would be long gone.

The kids love Ronnie. He's got a following. He's basically the band at this point - as long as he wants to do it and he has members that want to be with him on it, the band will continue.

Very true. There are only a few successful bands that have every original member still in the band.

So a couple of days ago I spoke with an employee on the tour and take this just as a rumor: he said that there might not be a Warped Tour next year, they are losing money every year and the cost of this year is bad, the draw is not doing good and Kevin is considering just ending the whole thing, rumor is that some employees have been told to look for something else next year, either that or they might just cut some stages off and just do 4 like it used to be, the source that told me this is very reliable and has been on the tour for more than a decade but again, just passing some news and hoping everything goes ok for next year.

I swear I see something along these lines every year. I'm not saying you're lying, I just see something along the lines of "terrible year for Warped Tour this year, this is it's last year", only for the lineup announcement to come a few months later. With ventures/extras like the Warped cruise and Warped in other countries, I don't think it would be doing that bad.

My prediction is they'll go two more years until they hit the 25th anniversary.

Yeah I know, that's why I came here to see if anybody heard something like that, they say it every year but this is the first time that people were told to look for something else next year, and as far of Warped Tour in other countries, Warped Tour Mexico got reschedule and some of the bands won't be playing it anymore, no info has been sent out to people only for the refund info since June, it's all a shitshow.

4 stages would honestly be nice. Two Main, Two Monster.

I heard some news about one of the bands playing Warped next year. The tour is definitely happening.

The only problem with that is there's no space for smaller bands with that setup. If anything they'd probably go 1 main, 1 Monster, 1 older bands/too big for Full Sail but too small for main bands stage, and 1 Full Sail.

Any chances Of Mice and Men plays next year or more likely for the 25th anniversary? And BMTH on 25th any chances?

I'd say OM&M are a very likely band for 2018. BMTH won't happen unless Warped wants to shell out the big bucks, and BMTH would scale down their production or Warped does venues that would better accommodate it.

I don't think anything is "definite" at this point. Kevin could cover his bases and discuss summer 2018 with a handful of bands and still decide in the fall not to operate next summer. I'm sure the power lies with the festival to cancel if they're deemed to not be a going concern

BMTH plays arenas now and everything points to them trying to crossover to the mainstream. No band that size WANTS to play Warped Tour. If their popularity takes a nosedive in the next few years, they may fall back onto playing a main stage at Warped but I can't imagine it would do much for their career at this point.

Full Sail was great this year. Trophy Eyes, Boston Manor, Knocked Loose, Creeper, etc. I feel like you need a small stage like that because people now really like supporting those newer bands.

After this year's lineup, who knows who's going to be on next year lol

Also, judging by the schedules I've seen today it looks like The Acacia Strain isn't there. Anyone know something about that?
    Edit: Found it, vehicle issues.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love Full Sail and what it does. I just feel like the tour REALLY needs to go for bigger acts if they want to stay sustainable on fewer stages.

i think the same thing. 2 more years then it's done. For the last 2 years, cutting down to 4 stages is realistically possible
