I saw a video of Hawthorne Heights in Portland, and their crowd size would have been a really full Hard Rock stage. For Main Stage, it looked pretty tiny.
I saw videos of Alestorm and Municipal Waste play to incredibly small crowds. There was maybe a front row of people and anyone could have easily gotten a spot on the barricade. I really thought these bands were going to pull bigger crowds but maybe that's just for the city I saw.
Bad Cop/Bad Cop is currently livestreaming their set on Facebook. It looks like 50 people tops. I guess it was just one song
Nah, I think since the acts listed are primarily older bands it's to appeal to working people who can't get the day off.
As someone who went to the Oregon date I'll have to say this statement is wrong. Lines were still super long. The lines to get in still wrapped around. Plus it depends what videos for what stages you're looking at. Journeys stages and Skullcandy/Hard Rock are not doing that good (minus a few choice bands). The Monster stages however have been doing the best I've seen in years. The Acacia Strain had a huge crowd.
I can see this being a thing. Many people only want to go for these bands and they are the "older" crowd. Pretty cool of warped to do something like that. At the same time, I'm curious about ticket sales as well
With GWAR playing last on their stage every day I think that deal makes a lot of sense. I saw a lot of people at the Salem date who went just to see GWAR and 30 bucks is much more reasonable for people who are only going to see one or two bands.
I'll also second the comment on the Salem date. I don't think it sold poorly at all and the lines to get in were longer than I've seen in the past if anything. It took me forever to get inside the venue, which usually isn't the case.
I can't fathom how this year would sell worse than 2015. That lineup was complete trash compared to every other post-2010 lineup. If the oldest band on a Warped lineup is Silverstein, something is wrong.
Probably the only one who cares but the animal in me announced they will be on 8/4 mountain view CA warped date. Wish they were doing mine.
I love reading those! My favorite is when a tour sells out everywhere except for Idaho haha. I don't think I've seen a single tour sell that state out.
Trophy Eyes got bumped up to the Skullcandy Stage today I would be so happy if Silverstein got bumped up to Journeys at my date
I think I'll still go this year, I really just wanna see Microwave finally and check out some metal bands.
