The only thing I could think is it was posted early by accident and the tour will make a formal announcement of them playing that date sometime soon. They're also from Florida so it would make sense for their only appearance to be at a FL date.
Usually whose on the cover of the compilations shows who's the biggest band on that year (that's kinda what I noticed at least), but I never thought it would be Neck Deep.
Neck Deep is the only big name new era Pop Punk band playing this summer. I think they'll draw huge crowds for that reason alone. Also, fun side story about Andy Black. One of the older guys I shoot in a dart league with is taking his teenage daughter to Warped this year and he said he won't mind Andy Black because in his words, "it kinda reminds me of Nickelback." haha
This. Also bums me out that people still support them after their allegations literally got swept under the rug as well, but that's a different story.
I like everything ND has released, especially the two new songs. They're starting to remind me a bit of The Years Gone By.
The Neck Deep allegations bother me, but not enough to not support them. They are a fantastic live band and LNOTGY is one of the best pop punk albums of the decade bar none. That said, I have found WSTR to be as good, if not better in some of their song structures. So if you want an alternative, WSTR is a band to watch. Hopefully they can finally tour the USA soon and gather a fanbase here.
I liked the band, but after the allegations, I have no reason to support them any longer. There's a lot of other bands that deserve it more.
Neck Deep is awful live (and on record tbh) but that's not even why you shouldn't go see them at Warped (the reason you shouldn't see them is because they're shitty people)
^ also that. I can't understand how anyone can confidently say they're good live. After seeing them in passing about 7 or so times, they've been awful every single set.
I saw them do 3 songs at Warped 2015 and it was decent enough. I hear nothing but bad things about them recently, but I still need to see them again for myself to be sure. My tastes don't mesh with this site like it did 7-9 years ago, especially on newer Pop Punk. So I take all comments with a grain of salt.
I love WSTR and thought they were a lock for Warped this summer. I really expect them to be on the lineup next year.
First set of Ernie Ball winners have been announced 6/16: Tidelines 6/17: The Without 6/21: Painting Promises 6/22: Colten Hood 6/23: Tonight We Fight 6/24: ImAlive 6/25: False Report 6/27: Driftwood Exile 6/28: Arborist
If someone doesn't mind explaining, what are the allegations that Neck Deep were involved with? I've heard they're terrible people but never heard/read full stories of what happened. Not a fan of the band, just curious.
These are the reasons I don't support the band anymore. Sexual harassment allegations / sexting with girls under the age of consent (September 2015): A few of Neck Deep's members are being accused of sending nudes to under-age girls • r/poppunkers Ben's "r*tarded" tweet (10/31/15): Ben's International Woman's Day tweet / "apology" (3/9/17): Neck Deep’s Ben Barlow apologizes following controversial Women’s Day tweet - News - Alternative Press
Hmm, good question. I just noticed they haven't posted on Facebook since 5/13. Pretty odd for a band who should be promoting their album and summer tour.
Add to the fact Equal Vision doesn't have the album listed under upcoming... I'm really hoping this comes out soon
Going to miss Warped tour for the first time since 2013 because I can't find a ride to Salem. Pretty bummed it isn't in Portland this year.
Are you from Portland? I mean, I could give you a ride I'm just not sure how creepy that is in 2017 haha.
It's 2017. There's an app where you can have a stranger drive to your exact location, get in their car and pay them to bring you wherever you're going. I think picking up a random music fan off of Chorus is more safe lol
Hahaha, okay you have a point. I just listen to a lot of true crime podcasts so the other side of it is that everyone wants to kill me.
