But, but, but, he let Front Porch Step play one date in 2015! But, seriously, nothing but respect for Kevin Lyman. He has given me some of my favorite bands and some of the best days of my life. Warped Tour is something I always look forward to all year.
Yes, because Front Porch Step is the only piece of shit he's given a platform... Lyman is out of touch and a really shitty dude. He's made that quite clear.
Pretty much how I feel. I've always respected the guy. Warped has shaped my taste for the last 12 years and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Kevin Lyman is more in touch then about 99% of 56 year old males, get over yourself. The amount of good the man has done for this music scene drastically outweighs the bad.
Age has nothing to do with it. But if being in touch means continuing to add to an already toxic scene, then yeah, he's very in touch.
So you're generalizing the whole scene as toxic, because of a few bad apples? Punk rock is the most progressive brand of music, so I don't see why people like you want to discredit that. Kevin says in the interview that Warped has never been a place for racism, misogyny, or homophobia; have you ever been to a hip-hop show?
ah the classic, "the music I like isn't allowed any faults, have you seen *music I don't like*" argument
The people who think Warped is toxic will continue to think that. Those of us who go to Warped will continue to do so. Pointless to argue about it here really.
Also, that new CKY song is great. I was skeptical about Chad taking over vocal duties, but it sounds fine to me. He sounds a bit like Neil Fallon from Clutch which is obviously a good thing for me.
No need to run in circles with that topic again, it's been done. Warped has given a platform to a lot of great artists and some shitty ones. If that stops you from going then so be it.

CKY, Hatebreed, Hawthorne Heights, War on Women and the ukelele Jule Vera one sound cool. If you look at the ukelele one, you get a free ukelele stand and tuner too, plus a special gift (making me think it might be a ukelele).
few of these sound awesome but i'm gonna have a hard enough time just catching most of the bands i wanna see.
I like what Jamey's doing a lot - basically he's just doing a live recording of his podcast, which could be really fun. If Shane from Silverstein was doing that with Lead Singer Syndrome, I'd have already bought a ticket.
Wish they had them before doors or something too. I did the Four Year Strong one last year before doors and it was a really cool way to kick off the day.
The Hawthorne Heights one sounds really cool, but I'd be concerned about the lesson overlapping with a set that I really want to see and $28 is a bit steep for that band.
the Warped social media accounts are promoting an album by Kobra And The Lotus, who aren't playing the tour. They're signed to Napalm Records. That's the same label as Valient Thorr and Alestorm. It makes me wonder if we'll see other Napalm artists next year.
