I'm hoping Bowling For Soup and/or Patent Pending play just so my buddy goes with me. I don't think any of his otherfavorite bands will play.
So I was looking through the venues around Orlando for bands playing around the Warped announcement and the only artists I could come up with was Biz Markie and I highly doubt that would happen, but it'd be cool af
The Memphis May Fire tour will be in the area. They have no shows on 3/21 or 3/22 and they have a show in Fort Lauderdale on 3/23.
Not sure. The conversation I saw only involved the Mexico show. I found it odd that Kevin's first mention of the show was after someone else asked him about it and he ReTweeted their post. It hasn't actually been announced yet as far as I know.
Right now, GWAR has three tour dates in Columbus OH, Pontiac MI, and Reading PA. Unless they're doing the whole tour, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't play those areas on Warped.
Bad Religion would be a nice addition - but just them wouldnt make me want to go. No one else, especially GWAR, interest me yet. But glad you guys are enjoying the leak et al...
Any chance Vesta Collide will be on? Mark put on his instagram story saying comment on all of warped's posts saying to put them on. Is this a type of a hint?
Anyone hear about Dangerkids possibly playing? They did really well with Falling in reverse in January.
So the AP "leak" says to tune in at 1 PM PST for the announcements, while the announcement video says 6 PM EST. Did something change? Or is AP just inept at timezone conversion?
I hope it's a 2 hour pre-show where we have "music analysts" do the exact same thing we've done here since August of last year! I'm guessing they flubbed the timezone conversion.
I'm very curious about GWAR. I've always like them but never had a chance to catch them as they always played a 21+ venue by me. This was of course before the passing of David Brockie and I'm not sure how they are after his passing. I know they had a frontwoman but she left. Haven't heard much since then.
AP is in Cleveland, OH. Announcement is in Orlando, FL. Both Florida and Ohio are in EST. AP is just good with messing up details in their articles.
I think GWAR makes a lot of sense actually. They've played Riot Fest like 4 years in a row. Warped is a great opportunity to each out to younger fans. I'm sure half of them would be horrified with their live set but for the other half, it will probably be their most memorable set of the day.
I know I'd have to see Gwar just for that. One of those bands I'm not super into but I'll remember, much like how 3OH!3 was for me last year.
