I think the cutting down on stages wasn't always in the plan, members of In Her Own Words said they were supposed to be on and got dropped because Kevin dropped the stage, said they were locked in for dates and then were told they got cut
Am I the only one that finds that to be kind of shitty business practice? There was probably a hand full of bands on that stage that were locked in, super stoked, and then dropped, they probably turned down other tour offers as well.
With that, that probably means there won't be a Kevin Says stage. That probably means it'll be 2 Main, 2 Monster, 1 Poseidon. Or 1 Main, 2 Monster, 2 Poseidon (probably the former).
This year will be my favorite since 09 if the older Punk Band thing proves true. Otherwise I'll likely be as let down as 2015.
It sounds like there will be Skullcandy and Ernie Ball stages. Two main stages and two Monster stages?
Isn't there also a Hard Rock (cafe) Stage? So, I'm guessing 2 Monsters, Skullcandy, Hard Rock, and Ernie Ball?
Got a confirmation on a band that hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread. I promised I wouldn't say who it was. All I can say is WOW!
Damn... out of all four Bad Religion would be the only one I would really hope would be on. Hatebreed would be solid, but nowhere near the level of Bad Religion. AB solo would be a total skip, Beartooth exactly the same... BVB would be a skip as well. blah
Again total guesses on my part haha! Beartooth and Hatebreed seem the most likely, and I can't think of what "kind of close" would be aside from someone doing solo shit.
I don't believe you, not because I don't find you credible though. I just don't believe that there's a band that exists that hasn't been mentioned by someone in this thread
2015 was a huge dissapointment because the bands I was most excited for either dropped off or were partial dates: H20 Ho99o9 Rotting Out Svetlanas PUP Motion City Soundtrack Matchbook Romance If those bands played full dates (or even played) I feel like I would have liked 2015 a lot more.
The MMF/BTF tour has the 22nd off and will be traveling to Florida. Blessthefall and Sylar have been confirmed here, so maybe one of them performs at the announcement event, or MMF or Bad Seed Rising if one of them is on.
I dont think The Color Morale should do it again but it wouldnt surprise me. MMF would make a lot of sense.
Is there any other tours coming through Florida on the 22nd or playing near the location of the announcement? Wage War could play again just because they're located close to it anyways.
Another response to a Facebook comment that I don't think has been posted here "We are actually not doing the Parents Get In For Free this year - our lineup is very balanced this year (a lot of old school acts) that it makes it very hard to manage those parents coming with a child and those scamming to get a free ticket"
That makes me cautiously excited. I think we might get a lot of older "post hardcore" bands instead of pop punk. Something like The Used, Underoath, Senses Fail, Silverstein, Story Of The Year, Hawthorne Heights, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, etc. Throw in a a handful of punk bands and a couple other of nostalgia acts. I think that draws well enough. I think we are obviously going to have a few surprises that people either think don't fit in with Warped or are too big for the tour. My feeling is that we don't have a lot of rumors because a lot of bands on the tour this year haven't played the tour in awhile or ever and would be less likely to leak information to fans or friends.
Yay, time to start reviewing mid 00s Warped lineups and blow the rumor/speculation discussion even more out of proportion lol
