The Offspring were already huge. MxPx were around the height of their popularity. The Transplants were as big as they were ever going to get. FOB and My Chem were already breaking the glass ceiling. Then there were heavy hitters like Thrice, The Starting Line, Relient K and others. I forgot Atreyu played that year, too. SOTY as well.
That's how I feel about my first year (2007). To think I missed seeing The Starting Line because I didn't even know who they were at that point sucks. It was my first and so far only time seeing Paramore, though, wouldn't trade that for the world.
'03 was also legendary because I saw Brand New, Yellowcard, Coheed and the Rejects back-to-back-to-back on the amphitheater stage. Then Rancid, Andrew WK, Thrice, Glassjaw, etc.
1996 was the Barnstable Fairgrounds in Mass. With Mighty Bosstones, NOFX, RFTC, and Fishbone. Oh my I thought one year was the Dog or Horse track... gotta check - suffolk downs, maybe?
I wonder how many kids who go to Warped actually applied to Full Sail afterwards. Spoiler alert, unless your parents are filthy rich, it ain't gonna happen.
The song plating for this video is Lost In The Static by After The Burial. Should we count them in as highly likely?
I've had them in my possible bands list for a while. How long has it been since the last time they did the tour? Was it 2012?
Just looked at the dates page on the website, some of the cities/venues have changed. I only really noticed the PNW though (WA one is now in in Seattle at Century Link Field and the OR one is now in Salem, no venue confirmation but I really have no idea where they could do it).
If ATB goes along with stick to your guns I'm in. Anyone know about possibly knocked loose or to the wind?
Salem will almost definitely be at the Fairgrounds, there's no where else they could really do it. I'm stoked as a person who lives Salem-adjacent.
I don't know why I didn't think of that! I as well live near Salem so this drive over will be 10 times better. I just hope they don't use the LB Amphitheatre for any of the stages.
VWT Facebook page in reply to me asking about ATB: we cannot confirm at this time I'd say ATB is on with 100 percent certainty. EDIT: Winky face emoji isn't coming up for me, but they put that as well.
CenturyLink would be a nice changeup, though I hope it works well. I've never actually been to a warped in a stadium before. What's it like?
State Fairgrounds in Salem probably. Fucking stoked this is in Salem now, gonna be like a 5 minute drive home EDIT: need to read the rest of the thread first haha. Also what the fuck do we have 3 people in this thread that live in Salem?
