Friend of mine spoke to a slightly drunk West at the Pierce the Veil tour and he said ND are on it. Also, Ben said in an interview that they hope to have the first single out by the Australian tour in May. Essentially, the cycle starts exactly how it did in 2015. Record will probably be out at the end of Warped Tour.
Also, I'm aware I just posted here but anyone think Tay Jardine's new project SAINTE could be on Warped? Would probably draw well.
thats HUGE for Silent Planet, they'll probably draw the same size crowd Gideon did at my date last year, which was decent, as they are one of the bands that rarely gets to come to Virginia Beach/Norfolk unless on warped or a huge tour.
That's why I love Warped in Scranton haha. Pretty much every band on the tour wouldn't come to Scranton otherwise. We have no mid sized venues here. Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg is the only option closer than Philly or Jersey. Scranton's venue for Warped is less than 30 minutes from my house. Love it. EDIT: I must point out that the Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre is an excellent venue for Classic Rock and Jam Band type acts. Just nothing in this scene. Beautiful venue, though. I've seen Primus, ZZ Top, Weird Al, Alice Cooper, and the British Pink Floyd Experience there. I Prevail and Too Close To Touch did a show in the lobby about 2 years ago, but that sort of thing is a rarity.
Maybe they'll play in support of Graveyard of the Atlan..... HAHAHAHA couldn't say that with a straight face. Seriously though, that would be cool of them. Kevin Lyman was their manager for a while back in the day and that's why they still come back for some dates. And I really hope 2017 is the year of GotA.
You'll soon learn that all hope gets you is disappointment. But for real if they play then neat, if they put out a new album then neat. But the best course of action with this band is to expect nothing, that way everything is a pleasant surprise.
I cant remember the year but I'm thinking it had to be 2010 or 2011 but I remember seeing The Ataris on main stage in Indianapolis in their home state and it was the smallest main stage crowd I've ever seen at warped and I've gone to multiple stops every year since 02.
That's incredibly odd since I think they're a better nostalgia act than a lot of those bands Warped books.
Damn. Dirty Heads are basically 1 hit away from doing amphitheaters. Amazing live act. Caught them on the Sublime tour last summer and they blew Sublime out of the water.
Here's what my prediction is looking like at this point. I didn't include a handful of the rumored bands (Municipal Waste, CKY, GWAR) because I'm really not sure if any of them would actually do it. Hard Rock Stage: Anti-Flag (select dates) The Used Our Last Night The Casualties Face To Face Bowling For Soup (select dates) Dashboard Confessional Hands Like Houses One OK Rock New Years Day NOFX (select dates) T.S.O.L. If this was it I'd be happy despite it being very similar to 2015. I didn't check out Beartooth in 2015 so it'd be nice to see them at Warped.
Is anyone shocked there has not been a real leak of any sort yet? I feel like years ago leaks were happening more often...maybe the switch to one date announcement helped?
According to Lambgoat, the Vegas lineup poster was leaked on March 19th: Warped Tour 2016 lineup allegedly leaked Edit: That happened 3 days before the entire lineup was announced. Bravo on their part for keeping things under wrapped!
this would have me sold for sure. Though the big three would be Anti-Flag, NOFX and Bad Religion. ETF, Attila, I prevail, Crossfaith and especially Stick To Your Guns is huge too
