I could see a few bands flying out from Warped from this or doing part of the tour. Mostly Goldfinger, Anti Flag, Bad Religion and Face to Face. They would miss 2-3 dates of Warped at most.
I'm happy to see older bands being considered again. The best era of Warped imo was about 2005 to 2009 because it was the transition between what the tour started as and what it is now. There was just something special about being able to see bands like NOFX and Bad Religion on the same day as bands like Senses Fail or Underoath. It felt like the 90s Punk scene and the 00s Warped scene actually had a connection for a while. /end nostalgia fueled ranting
it my old old old account i been way to lay to update it i most use it to rt contests 99% of the time on it now
BAAO literally likes every single tweet mentioning them or their name / acronym in any aspect. Also if you go through their "likes", they always search popular key phrases and like every single tweet they can. I find it hilarious personally. Recently they've been liking any tweet that mentions the word "Heathens" or "Heavydirtysoul" in it lol (going straight for the Twenty One Pilots fans)
How about At The Drive-In on select dates? They're free from 6/25 through 8/15. Their May-June tour completely skips the east coast aside from Ohio and Illinois. EDIT: I forgot about them hating moshing and whatnot. Them signing to Rise Records just made me throw it out there.
It's not a bad marketing move in my opinion. They are one of the bands that does it best. It's only the select few that actually notice they "mass like" things that may be a little put off by it.
why would it? It ends mid May... I bet a bunch of bands will miss the first few dates of warped. Thankfully my date is late July, last year I got pretty much everyone I could have wanted (aside from BFMV)
I have it on very good authority that Brokencyde is playing the main stage and they changed the rules for them, they'll close each date and play for an hour. You heard it first.
dude i back this so hard. that time period was great. for me '06 was hands down the best warped tour I've been to. After all these years I keep hoping for a lineup like that. Maybe this year is the year.
I completely agree. I was thinking the same thing when I was going back and looking at the tour posters throughout the years.
How about Darkest Hour on Monster? They have a new album coming out in a few weeks and have no shows after May 13 in Austria. Their last US show is March 21 so radius clause wouldn't be a problem.
