I wonder if they'll do something at Full Sail again. Full Sail has been all over Warped's Snapchat the past few days.
Then again, I think it's easy for artists to have million + listens on a song but still be relatively unknown.
I'm talking to the lead singer of the band Varsity tomorrow. They posted a picture on their Facebook page of every date so I'm guessing it's a lock. I'll update when I get some info. Edit: They didn't confirm or deny anything but they hinted at it. They'll be on tour for most of the year too.
I'm really curious what the lineup might be. I've never seen so many bands opt out of warped before the lineup announcement. Usually speculations are all over the place. Seems it's limited this year. I really hope Kevin is going to surprise everyone with a few bigger name bands
More evidence we're not getting full runs from the following bands that had been speculated at one point or another: Architects OM&M DEP Comeback Kid Northlane WSS TDWP Obey The Brave Moose Blood As It Is '68
Comment on Warped's Instagram pic: "You should have bands like Pennywise and NOFX play" They responded with: "if you like bands like that you will be stoked on some parts of the lineup this year. We're bringing some old school punk back ;)"
I don't think Lyman has any other options. There are literally only a handful of the usual "Warped bands" that still have a possibility of playing.
I can't see people who went to Warped Tour in the early 2000s returning to Warped Tour to see bands like Pennywise and NOFX. Warped is off limits to them. They've moved on. They haven't been to Warped in 12-15 years. I couldn't get my 30 year old friends to go last year for bands like Yellowcard and New Found Glory.
fact - last year was stacked. this year has similar depth; a lot of amazing bands from genres with some bands truly going back to our classic punk roots
A whole section? I wonder if they the old school bands will get their own stage. If would be cool if they got mixed in with the newer bands so younger kids could see them.
