It's also interesting how no one here who knows the lineup has reassured us on the quality of it. This year is looking to be a weak one aside from a handful of good bands.
What I still have as potential main stage/Monster bands (more than a few are up for debate I'm willing to admit now): As It Is (partial run at the end?) From what I know about the lineup and from who I know is confirmed, it's nothing too reassuring so personally haven't felt the need to because I myself am not impressed lol
There's a good lineup to potentially be made here, but too many bands for whatever reason just aren't doing it. Whether it's because of festivals, being overseas, spring tours, having grown out of the Warped scene, not being able to handle the full tour, asking for too much money, or just straight up not being invited back. It's a bummer because I see a really, really good lineup in there that isn't too unreasonable if you put it together.
If there's 6 bands I'd like to see then it's totally worth it to me. I'd rather not sit at home or go to work. I can find new bands as well
knock in this moment off due to radius clause. Knock off walls of jericho they in europe during warped time. Also, WOJ ain't doing long tours anymore. I didn't go to warped in 2016 the lineup sucked for me. There has to be at least 3 bands I wanna see tio justify going. With realistically possible bands this warped is gonna have the most bands I've ever wanted to see in one year.
Maybe Lyman decides to take the tour in a different direction again? After the problems he had in 2015, he came out and same he wanted more older bands on the tour in 2016. Maybe he has something up his sleeve.
This is more of a wish, but does anyone think I See Stars could hop on this year again? They drew a pretty big crowd at least in Buffalo.
Like I said earlier, this year is looking to have a decent undercard, but not much to help boost ticket sales. Coming up with a full main stage lineup for my prediction has been very difficult and that's a bit unsettling.
You never know I guess. I mean, Matchbook Romance was announced for the tour in 2015 before they even confirmed their reunion.
Somebody said earlier in the thread that they need a day off after every show so Bert can rest his voice. Not sure how true that is, but I removed them until I hear otherwise.
Probably not true. The Used just did their 15 Year Anniversary shows and played in each city two nights in a row.
Who ever it was said they need a day off after every 2 shows for Burts voice, which played perfectly into te 15 Year Anniversary shows but kinda makes it doubtful to see them doing much hard touring in the future.
I added The Used, Asking Alexandria, and Bowling For Soup. The All-American Rejects The Amity Affliction Architects Asking Alexandria Attila Beartooth Black Veil Brides Blessthefall Born Of Osiris Bowling For Soup Crossfaith Dance Gavin Dance Emmure Escape The Fate From First To Last I Prevail Memphis May Fire Mod Sun Moose Blood Neck Deep Never Shout Never New Years Day ONE OK ROCK Seaway Senses Fail Set Your Goals Silent Planet Silverstein Stick To Your Guns Parkway Drive Pierce the Veil (UK/EU tour w/ Good Charlotte until 6/18 - partial dates?) PVRIS (summer tour with Muse/30STM - partial dates?) Underoath The Used
What about "radio rock" bands? Someone mentioned Papa Roach. They have played one year. Five Finger Death Punch is on Rise. Anyone else? I'm just throwing it out there.
Someone said Moose Blood was doing festivals overseas this summer. All I'm seeing is Download (June 8-10) and Open Flair (August 9-13) in Germany. That's perfect routing for Warped.
FFDP does arenas most of the time, they'd be a one off. Someone like Drowning Pool would work as a nostalgia act for the Monster stages.
When I saw them with Hawthorne Heights, they had the #1 song on the Christian charts. I'm not sure they're necessary looking to get back into this scene. I'd check them out if they played though.
