We got a press release from Victory yesterday about it. Do they sound like Marmozets? I haven't listened yet.
I replaced As It Is with From First To Last. The All-American Rejects The Amity Affliction Architects Attila Beartooth Black Veil Brides Blessthefall Born Of Osiris Crossfaith Dance Gavin Dance Emmure Escape The Fate From First To Last I Prevail Memphis May Fire Mod Sun Moose Blood Neck Deep Never Shout Never New Years Day ONE OK ROCK Seaway Senses Fail Set Your Goals Silent Planet Silverstein Stick To Your Guns Parkway Drive Pierce the Veil (UK/EU tour w/ Good Charlotte until 6/18 - partial dates?) PVRIS (summer tour with Muse/30STM - partial dates?) Underoath
Dance Gavin Dance is missing from your list. Tilian seemed to indicate on Twitter a while back that they would be on.
Beartooth I Prevail Black Veil Brides Pierce The Veil Neck Deep Those would probably draw the biggest crowds each day from the rumored bands I've seen
Out of that list, I'd go PVRIS followed by One Ok Rock/BVB. I remember seeing 30-40 Coldrain fans camped out at their stage until they went on and then left after their set. I can see double that for One OK Rock, not to mention all of the casual fans.
I never watched a set in the Acoustic Basement. I planned on seeing Geoff Rickly's set in 2012, but a storm rolled through and they just shut the Basement down for the day.
I think the Acoustic Basement appealed to a different (older) crowd who might have not come to Warped Tour otherwise. Those people might have also liked 1-3 bands playing on other stages too. I think it gave Warped Tour some credibility with some of those people who outgrew Warped Tour.
So far there's a decent amount of speculated bands I would definitely watch. Carnifex, Underoath, Dance Gavin Dance, Silverstein, Creeper, Trophy Eyes, Neck Deep. But I really don't anticipate it selling too well unless there's a couple heavy hitters we've all somehow missed. It seems really underwhelming in term of bigger draws or even bigger nostalgia/legacy acts. I'm staying optimistic, though. I don't think a single person from this site was expecting Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Bullet For My Valentine, or Atreyu last year. Those came out of nowhere with the announcement.
That's true that we didn't expect those bands but what bands like that could possibly get announced this year? There just aren't many options.
If we're talking short 3-5 date runs like BFMV, it's hard to predict because basically any band playing the Hard Rock fest circuit could probably manage that at some point during the tour. And I'm really not sure who to predict. I could see NOFX, Pennywise, or some other older Punk band doing a week or two, especially if a band like TSOL is actually playing. That's about all I can come up with, though.
NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise, etc. wouldn't draw nearly as well as Good Charlotte and Sum 41 did last year.
NOFX has a lot more crossover with Pop Punk fans than a band like Bad Religion or Pennywise does. I could see them doing fairly well with the same people who came out for Sum 41, Reel Big Fish, or New Found Glory last year. But otherwise you are correct.
Oceano are recording a new album and plan to have it out by late Spring. Another possible Monster band I suppose.
The radius clause is usually 90 days/90 miles. Nowhere in a 90 mile radius 90 days before or 90 days after Warped. But I've seen that not apply to a lot of smaller bands in the past.
I removed As It Is, The Used, and Streetlight Manifesto from my prediction. It's getting hard to come up with a full main stage lineup at this point. Oh good. Now Moose Blood and As It Is can be added to the 50 other pop punk bands next year that have overlapping fan bases.
