The lineup isn't particularly interesting for me. There are bands that I like on the tour, but they usually play my area 2-4 times a year. That's not worth the price for a few bands. Sure I'd like to see Hatebreed and Gwar, just not the short sets that will be in this environment.
Lineup is bad I'd like to see The Suicide Machines again, but they'll be playing MI again by the end of the year on an actual headliner. I'm most bummed about not seeing Sonic Boom Six. They never tour over here, and I've missed them each time. Go check them out if you're into punk/ska. Good to see more women on the tour, and really awesome that War on Women is doing it, hope people check them out and actually learn something Fuck Lyman for still giving Fronz a platform
Holy shit Chronic Future. That lineup is throwing me so far back....Makes me sad looking at this year.
The lineup is decent, but not great. Lots of bands I've never seen before, but would check out and a few of my favorites. Must see: Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, Neck Deep, The Ataris, Stick To Your Guns, Boston Manor Want to see: Hands Like Houses, GWAR, Counterparts, Strung Out, Goldfinger, Trophy Eyes, Movements, Microwave, Hundredth Will check out if I have time: Dance Gavin Dance, Being As An Ocean, Carousel Kings, The Adolescents, War on Women, Too Close To Touch
Personally, I am glad to see they got a good mixature of current and older bands to play, as well as diversity. But for me there aren't any bands that I am dying to see that would make taking a day off of work, getting up early, fighting a crowd and roaming stage to stage in the Summer heat they would make it worthwhile for me. But that's okay as I am now well past the target demographic for this tour. I went every year from 2005-2012, a few years I went twice. I missed 2013-2014 but wanted to see Citizen bad enough the I went in 2015, lol. They would have been the one band that could have probably gotten me there this year. Hell, I almost went last year, I had a free ticket lined-up, the day off but I just slept instead. I would really like to see CKY because I never did see them live back in the day. But I have to assume another tour will follow in the future. Now I'm looking forward to see what the AP Awards will hold this year.
Its weird seeing the adolescents and dickies playing this year for the sheer fact on how old there getting. Espicially the adolescents doing the entire tour. They both have to have members in there late 60s considering both were formed in the late 70s
just went through the whole lineup (few top songs each on youtube) and this is how I'd rank them... I'm shocked (but ever so pleasantly so) how many bands there are on here that I haven't heard of that I was like 'damn! I really want to check that out!' REALLY WANT TO SEE: Attila CKY I Prevail Anti-Flag Bad Omens Fire From the Gods T.S.O.L. Counterparts Emmure The Adolescents Gwar Hatebreed After the Burial Alestorm Trophy Eyes Stick to your Guns Microwave Knocked Loose Municipal Waste Sonic Boom Six Sick of it All Hundredth Hands Like Houses Hawthorne Heights Boston Manor Watsky Feeki Being As An Ocean The White Noise Neck Deep Futuristic Andy Black Candiria Our Last Night Separations Stacked Like Pancakes Sylar Sworn In Silent Planet MAYBE SEE: Silverstein The Acacia Strain Too Close To Touch Valient Thorr Movements Sammy Adams The Gospel Youth Save Ferris Carnifex NAH, I THINK I'LL PASS: American Authors Fit for a King Bad Cop/Bad Cop New Years Day Creeper Beartooth War on Women The Ataris Memphis May Fire Blessthefall Dance Gavin Dance Jule Vera Courage My Love William Control Farewell Winters Barb Wire Dolls
I checked out of curiosity. The two founding members left in Adolescents (Tony Reflex and Steve Soto) are 54 and 53, respectively. Mike Peters and James Stevenson from The Alarm are both 58. They have to be the oldest this year.
Sorry I should have just done my research first before just assuming but I think lee of the dickies is 60 but they don't really count bc they are only doing a couple dates.
Adolescents is spending their summer surrounded by actual adolescents. I guess that's one way to go through your midlife crisis.
I figured Mike Peters would be pushing that.... it's been a long time since I thought about their band. zero airplay in the US for years, really.
Only bands I want to see are: Futuristic (Maybe) The Acacia Strain Counterparts Fit For A King Hatebreed Stick To Your Guns Sylar Carnifex Emmure The White Noise Anti-Flag Municipal Waste Sick of it All Bad Omens Knocked Loose Trophy Eyes
Adolescents def getting some money on the table for this one. I also think they're definitely underestimating how strenuous this tour can be
The only big band before warped started was American authors than during the tour neck deep and pvris each played a stop thats all I remember
Yah I think ticket sales will be fine, just be prepared to see an entirely different crowd at warped tour this summer compared to past ones. There won't be many kids in flannels lol.
