How did sexism, homophobia, and/or bigotry get to the point where "it's just a different opinion" gets thrown around and that statement gets pretty much ignored? "I like my three chord pop-punk about relationships" vs "I like my three chord pop-punk about politics" is a different opinion. "I write music and promote shit that harms women" is not just a different opinion. We've moved the window so far it means basically nothing now.
It's pretty much the only way it's ever been allowed to actually exit. How have our history classes failed so many people?! This is like elementary school level stuff.
