Youth In Revolt just announced they're releasing a full length in January. I'd expect them back as well, probably on Cyclops or Poseidon. Unfortunately.
i'm so out of touch. reading that dude's long list of predictions, i don't know half the bands, and the majority of the ones that i do know, i don't like. have i become... gulp... officially old?! ahhhh!
Lyman outdid himself this summer and I really don't see how any lineup next year could touch this year's
Cute Is What We Aim For have plans to release another album. I can see them doing a couple of dates next year, maybe a full run.
I'd lose it if Killswitch played. Rise Against would also be great to see. I would not be surprised at all to see more modern rock/metal bands play. I could see Trivium play too. I'm still pondering what rap acts, if any would play. I can only come up with RiFF RaFF, MGK, and Waka Flocka.
I've been seeing a lot about Blessing a Curse. I don't know anything about them. Any chance they could play?
Real long shot/pondering, but what about Lil Dicky for Hip-Hop? I would definitely watch his set, and I feel like he could work well in a Warped setting. Although he might be too big at this point with getting XXL Freshman status.
Craig owens new project badxchannels for hip-hop? He's signed to sharptone records, I think it would make complete sense
What about Darkest Hour as the veteran band on Monster? They did some dates way back in 2005 and have a new album coming out. They just got announced as an opener for Parkway Drive's European tour in March-April and I hadn't even considered them.
Thought I'd take a stab at another prediction. Maybe a long shot here, but as far Australian bands go, maybe Storm The Sky? They just released their second album on UNFD (pretty respectable label, gets distributed by Rise in America), and from what I've seen seems to have at least a little bit of following in America, despite never touring there. Their screamer left before recording and have kinda changed genres as a result and a lot of people aren't into it, but SWFY is pretty damn good if you're into it. I dunno, I would have said they're too small but With Confidence got announced for last year without an album released so who knows at this point.
I've been begging em to come to the US and putting them on my warped list for 2 years now, god I would love it if they finally came. They're very underrated imo.
I think something like this would please a lot of the different Warped demographic crowds- Journeys Left Foot: Billy Talent Taking Back Sunday Pvris The Aquabats (partial dates) The Used Good Charolette Saosin Tiger Army (partial dates) Andrew W.K. They're on the Monster South stage. I don't think they'll be on the 2 main stages if they're sticking with the whole "pop, pop punk, softer metalcore" thing they did this year. They'd stick out like a sore thumb.
I really hope movements gets on this year. I'd love to see sorority noise but I doubt that would happen.
Honestly I didn't even think of Lil Dicky. He'd be a great fit honestly, it's not like we haven't seen a comedy rapper on the tour before. Even with getting the XXL Freshman status I still think he wouldn't be pig enough to not get on the tour. I mean he's certainly not as big (in my eyes) as someone like Desiigner or Lil Uzi Vert so anything's possible.
If the tour got one pop singer next yearI wonder who, cuz 2015 had Bebe and we had others in the past
I'd be surprised if she didn't. Not a huge fan of her music, it's super dark and that's coming from a metal guy. I can't imagine how a live show of hers would be.
