Warped, AltPress, and Good Charolete pushed for them and still are, so I wouldn't doubt it. Plus I'm sure this SWS tour will make them bigger.
Don Broco signed to Sharptone. I know they've opened fire BMTH overseas. I could definitely see them playing next summer.
Hello everyone! I just jumped on this board. I have no idea how to make predictions, but I am going to post who I am LOVE to see at next year's Warped & ya'll can decide how likely they are! NECK DEEP ALL TIME LOW -would this actually happen? State Champs Story So Far Real Friends Sleeping with Sirens Waterparks Broadside Mayday Parade Against the Current This Wild Fire A Day to Remember Pierce the Veil Escape the Fate Simple Plan Any input? I am seriously on the edge of my seat for the bands to be announced even though it's months away :( Cannot wait much longer !
Waterparks is fantastic ! I missed them at this past year's Warped (too many bands to see, so little time)- but have just gotten into them the past two months anyway. They better be there !
Neck Deep - Probably. They did just the Indianapolis date this year but with the tours they've been on I'd say either main or joint stages next year. All Time Low - I wish but they're too big. State Champs - Just played this year so it's unlikely but bands have done multiple runs in a row (Attila with 3 years) SWS - Nah. Just did this year and are still pretty big. Waterparks - Almost for sure, probably the joint stages Broadside - I'm gonna be honest I've never listened to them or even know that much about them, not huge on pop punk. Maybe. Mayday Parade - They tend to do every other year so again, not likely. Against The Current - Gaining traction in the scene and still small enough to do multiple runs. Probably a lock for the joint stages. This Wild Fire - Never even heard of them so I really don't know. ADTR - I wish. Too big at this point. Maybe they could pull a one off but odds are they'll be on the European Summer Festival circuit. PTV - Same as ADTR, too big. I know they did 2015 but even then it was basically everyone going for PTV. I'd say 60% of the people left my date after they played. Simple Plan - Nope.
REALLY? No State Champs? They were my favorite this past summer. *still crying* How come? And no SWS or Real Friends either? Gah !!!
Thank you for your input! Neck Deep needs to be there. If not, I will sob. Didn't think All Time Low would actually be but that would be the dream. Your input sounds pretty on point- as you can tell, my first tour was this past summer so I had no clue they only tend not to do multiple years in a row. Learning new things every day lol. Also funny how most of my band picks are clearly pop punk and you're not a fan. I added Real Friends, Story So Far, & Escape the Fate to my list. Thoughts on these?
I may not be huge on pop punk but I used to like it moderately and still enjoy a few bands (TSSF, ATL, Neck Deep, SSK, C!NCC!...) I'd agree with a no for Real Friends and TSSF, but Escape The Fate would seem likely as they did it in 2015.
It's Jarrod Alonge's Pop-Punk parody band, Sunrise Skater Kids. For parody music it's decent. Obviously they won't play Warped though.
Welcome! Next year, I'd count out State Champs, TSSF, Real Friends, SWS and Mayday Parade. They all headlined last year and traditionally, the tour doesn't really have bands play full runs on Main Stage consecutive years. Additionally, at this point, it's unlikely ADTR, PTV and SP will play anything more than a few dates or a surprise appearance. I could definitely see Broadside coming back to play a bigger stage next summer, and This Wild Life and Escape the Fate both make sense to return in 2017.
As crazy as it sounds, I wouldn't count out Rise Against. If they put out an album in late 2017, they can do the entire tour supporting a new single and gain new fans in the process.
It's been a few weeks since I posted it and I've made changes again so here's my full prediction for next summer. Yeah, there's a few bands on my list I consider stretches (Parkway, Killswitch, Streetlight, Against Me) because I had a tough time coming up with two full main stage lineups. Most of the long running bands that seem to take turns playing the tour (Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, New Found Glory, Sum 41, We The Kings) all did it this year.
