I dunno about this one. Gym Class Heroes haven't been active since like 2013. Travie did say there would be new music a while ago, after another solo album (neither of which surfaced). Matt seems to be doing his own thing, touring with Ryn Weaver and composing music for his licensing service and This American Life. Honestly, as much as I hate to say it, Gym Class Heroes may be done.
i'm sure kevin has already sent out a few emails to bands/artist.. has anyone asked any bands/artist at these fall shows? I'm seeing MMF/TDWP in a few weeks, If I run into any of them i'm gonna ask for sure. LMTF are due to play, they haven't since 2013.
So Make Them Suffer just asked on Facebook "So who would want to see us at Vans Warped Tour next year?" I don't know if this should be considered asking people to vote for them or them teasing that they're on.
It'd almost make sense considering they're on tour with ABR and Silent Planet right now, bands that have done Warped in the past.
So if we're doing the whole "ask bands on tour about Warped" thing now, here are some tours I can think of that people should be asking bands: -Sum 41/Senses Fail/As It Is (just SF and AII) -TWA/Volumes/Islander/Invent, Animate (I'd say all but TWA) -MMF/TDWP/Silverstein/LMTF -All bands on The Amity Afflictions headliner -Yellowcard's support for their last tour -The Last Ten Seconds Of Life/Traitors/Spite -The Wonder Years/Moose Blood/Seaway -Hands Like Houses/Our Last Night/Out Came The Wolves Feel free to add.
With Dance Gavin Dance drawing really well on their headliner, I can definitely see them on next year.
With them going to SharpTone, that leaves Terror as the biggest band on Victory. I just don't understand how that label can go on any longer by milking ADTR merchindise dry.
maybe Terror will do Warped again since Victory needs to make money somewhere. I'd totally be okay with Terror doing Warped again.
Thing is is that they do have some upcoming bands in the scene. Feed Her To The Sharks is pretty good and gets on some pretty big tours both in the US and out of the US, especially in Australia touring in the past with Thy Art Is Murder and Aversions Crown. But I do agree that Victory has been going down for a long time and that it's only a matter of time before something major happens.
That's a reasonable list. All 10 of those are possible. I'd love to see Capsize. They didn't play my date this year.
What's everyone's take on waterparks being on the tour again? they seemed to be one of the really anticipated bands in 2016. Not sure how they played but their merch lines were redic from what I've heard
I would count AA out for next summer, since danny IS rejoining AA and he was the one that stated some years back that AA would never do warped again, and I bet kevin offered and they took it as a way to showcase denis, but now that he's out and dannys back in.. hmmmmmmmmmm.
