At holmdel it seemed like Issues and Sum 41 had the biggest.

Yellowcard crowd was gigantic. (To be fair, they closed the show and followed .issues.)

Yellowcard was also massive at Holmdel.

    but does it djent?

I haven't been on all summer so I'm just now getting to post about my Warped experience. I went to the Chicago date. I'll post the bands I saw and some thoughts about the day. This was also my first time going to the Chicago date as I had a conflict with the Indy date.

Bands I saw in order of seeing them: Oceans Ate Alaska, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Ice Nine Kills, Veil of Maya, 3oh!3, Whitechapel, Gideon, Motionless In White, Chelsea Grin, and I See Stars.

    - It was pretty hot but being in the hot sun at band camp the day before it didn't bother me too much.
    - Oceans Ate Alaska puts on a great show and was a great way to start off the day.
    - The turnout for Chunk! was way too big for the amphitheater and should have been on a bigger stage for sure.
    - There was a crowdkiller during Ice Nine Kills and that was the first time I've seen that at Warped.
    - 3oh!3 had a huge turnout but I think that was true for all of the mainstage acts.
    - Crowd was pretty lame for Chelsea Grin which was uncanny for them.
    - Merch tents were getting torn down pretty early.
    - I See Stars played some older songs but only played about half of them cutting them short. The only songs they played in full was anything off of Treehouse and Murder Mitten.

All in all it was still my best year at Warped but the heat was taking a toll on everyone. I'd go to that venue again as the layout was much better than the one in Indy I thought. The staff and security guards were much friendlier than Indy. I wish I could have gone to a second date or catch the tail end of the tour to catch Waka Flocka.

    Crowdkiller?

I'm assuming someone who goes in the crowd/pit just to intentionally hurt people.

    but does it djent?

Someone who intentionally targets people staying out of the pit with violence. I've seen it at a lot more heavier shows like Cannibal Corpse.

Too early to start a new thread for 2017 predictions outside of this thread?

I mean, the tour is over this weekend and next year has a good chunk of bands already booked already according to the way Kevin does things. We also have one confirmed band in The Ghost Inside. Go ahead and create it!

Crowdkilling is pretty much exclusive to shows populated with young kids and/or people who don't go to enough shows to know etiquette. You won't see that crap at a Death Metal or old school Punk show. Mainly because they'll gang up on whoever does it haha

Beatdown shows are the only place it seems to be accepted/expected.

    but does it djent?

I can agree to this to an extent. I've seen it at death metal shows but only a few times. I had never seen it at Warped before so that's more or less what threw me off.

I feel like older ADTR crowds used to be like that too. Before they got popular it was a big, swing my arms and hit you in the face experience and you're a bitch if you don't like it.

Haha I didn't really get into ADTR until a few months before Homesick was released, but two of my good friends saw them a few times when FTWHH first came out and used to talk about how intense their shows were when they still played tiny venues.

Having seen ADTR quite a number of times before Homesick, their shows were chaotic. I've seen them in VFW halls and the energy they brought back then would make the crowd go twice as hard.

One of the stages today is literally poolside. Doesn't even look like there's a legitimate barricade.
Want to see videos of this, I'm sure it's gotta be cool, but during a set like Knuckle Puck, I question how this will logistically and safely work out.

No offense, but I was at Warped getting dropped on concrete and blowing dirt out of my nose every five minutes, and Vegas gets this? Brb, I'm moving...

This looks insane. Emarosa is on that stage too if I'm not mistaken. Can't wait to see video from this!
