That's how I feel but I'm guessing there will still be a handful of bands I like on the tour next summer that will make me want to go. But I will just have to adjust my expectations.

I did notice quite a few FFDP shirts today as well as an Avatar one. With Mayhem gone,I wonder if Warped will get any radio rock bands like that.
I could see more radio rock. In this moment and the pretty reckless have played warped. Almost put them on my predictions. I know TPR are putting new music out at the end of this year or at least by Warped next year. FFDP I see as to big to play, but they did just sign to Rise.
If anyone finds today's schedule for St. Louis could they post it here? My friend is going today. It's her fourth and final Warped date this summer!
I've tried keeping this updated. Didn't Broadside and Silent Planet both get bumped up to Poseidon/Cyclops? Wouldn't be surprised at all if The Wonder Years and Anti-Flag stay away from Warped after the Lyman shittiness from last summer.
There has been no drama surrounding the tour this year. It looks like Lyman's plan to bring out older bands to help mentor some of the younger bands has worked!
A girl had to get rushed to the hospital during Sleep with Sirens' set. Could she sue Warped Tour? Aren't those "no mosh, no crowd surfing" signs on the stages up for that reason? My friends and I were talking about it yesterday.
Turns out I couldn't go today. All my friends bailed last minute. Super, super bummed about it. I had a chance to go to Chicago last weekend instead, should have just done that
She could, and Warped's defense could be that it disclosed the risk of injury in those signs (You Mosh/Crowd Surf, You Get Hurt) and she assumed that risk. But that seems like a weak defense to me, because I'd think a first-timer at Warped would see that sign and assume that there wouldn't be moshing or crowd surfing. That's why I've never really understood the point of those signs. They seem to create more risk than having no signs at all, and certainly less than having signs simply warning of the risk. In my perfect world, you'd only be allowed to crowd surf away from the stage, where everyone can see you coming. Not much of an option at Warped, but it works great in small club shows where you can step right onto the stage and jump straight back in.
I just stumbled across a video of Mayday Parade playing on the Monster stage back in 2012. That must have been the last year it wasn't all heavy bands. MONSTER ENERGY STAGE blessthefall- Whole Tour Chelsea Grin- Whole Tour Every Time I Die- Whole Tour For Today- Whole Tour Mayday Parade- Whole Tour Memphis May Fire- Whole Tour Motionless In White- Whole Tour Rise To Remain- Whole Tour Sleeping With Sirens- Whole Tour The Ghost Inside- Whole Tour Title Fight- 6/16-7/18; 7/23-8/5 Vampires Everywhere!- Whole Tour You Me At Six- 6/16-7/22
You answered your own question. Putting the signs up removes liability. It's the same reason the back of your ticket stub has about 10,000 things the venue is not liable for.
The Vandals? Damn! That would've been real cool Also at the Minnesota date Sum 41 played Screaming Bloody Murder I remember -- the setlist.com set for them on that date is just plain wrong. Not sure who would post that or why... there was no encore either. They played straight then said bye and left quick, kinda weird. Didn't even seem like they played 30 minutes.
They posted a pic of the setlist from Chicago and had SBM between Motovation and Still Waiting but didn't play it. They just played straight through and said bye like you said. Still had like 3 or 4 minutes left.
I didn't notice they didn't play for the full 30 minutes. Glad they said they are coming back in October!
My point is that the wording of the sign doesn't actually function as a warning of the dangers. The overall message of the sign is "No Moshing / Crowd Surfing." If I were a first-time Warped attendee, I'd read that and conclude that Warped Tour prohibits moshing and crowd surfing. And if I then get hurt because someone crowd surfs onto my head, I'd wonder why Warped Tour isn't enforcing their own rule. I didn't assume the risk, because the message I got from the sign is that there is "No Moshing / Crowd Surfing" at Warped. And the sign explicitly doesn't disclaim liability: it contemplates the result of injury from moshing or crowd surfing as a lawsuit that Warped loses. If the goal is to warn attendees so that they assume the risk, then the sign should just say that (akin to those 10,000 things on the back of the ticket).
The more I think about it, this will almost assuredly be my last Warped. I haven't gone in a few years but all the 'vintage' acts enticed me to go to San Diego next week...and it'll probably be hard to convince me to get back unless more nostalgia bands for a 31-year-old are in the works in the future. Love this year's mix.
