Random question, but has a warped date ever been cancelled for heat? It's insane hot in Chicago area and many other things in the area are getting cancelled or put on notice, so I was curious. Either way it's gonna be miserable, a shame but I knew my luck would run out eventually.
As long as it doesn't rain. I went to warped in Las Vegas in 2012 and the high that day was 115. Unreal but the show went on.
Their 2013 record The Finer Things is all-around excellent and their new record is okay, but has some really great singles, like Secrets and Losing Myself.
Yesterday in Cuyahoga Falls was great. Saw about 18 bands if you count partial sets. Knuckle Puck got pretty pissed at security when they capped off the pit in the Ampitheatre (it wasn't even close to full). They just told people to jump the barrier for the last song and then the pit finally filled up. Favorite sets were Bullet For My Valentine and Less than Jake.
Also, for anyone who didn't read the main news page of the site yesterday: The Set Listener It's a gamechanger. It makes Spotify playlists from setlist.fm links! Finally our days of looking for setlist songs individually is over! Sorry, that may be a bit off topic but I thought it would benefit people in this thread greatly. Also, I second the request for a schedule for today lol.
Does anybody know where to start looking to try to volunteer at your date? I'm thinking about doing something to get in for free but I have no idea where to even start looking. I'm going to the Albuquerque date if that helps. Any advice is appreciated.
There has been an app called Setlister for Android phones for awhile now. It pulls setlists from setlist.fm and you can add them to Spotify with the touch of a button.
Journey's posted left and right foot set times for today on Twitter but I haven't found the full schedule yet.
So what bands do we see getting bumped up to main stage next year from Poseidon/Cyclops this year? I'm thinking Against the Current, I See Stars, and Knuckle Puck. I also can see Broadside, Cane Hill, and Like Pacific for Poseidon/Cyclops.
Find out how much Vans Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos and more made on the roadMetal Insider I'm really quite shocked at the fact that they didn't even fill out half the capacity in Orlando this year. The lineup seemed to have something for everyone this year. Bands for the Altpress crowd (FIR, SWS, etc) and the old school crowd (LTJ, Sum 41, NFG). Really thought this would be the best selling year in a while.
That is interesting. When I went to Orlando a couple of years ago (2014 I think) it didn't seem as packed as Atlanta or even Nashville. I think the problem this year is that a lot of the bands have played in the recent years and there is no one big and new enough to entice more people to go. People like us will go every year because we love the experience but the only really "New" bands on the tour are the smaller bands like ATC and Broadside. There are a couple dates that will probably draw more this year because of GC, Atreyu, and BFMV but those are just nostalgia acts. I don't know, I do think that this lineup was underwhelming to a lot of people including to some extent myself. Now don't get me wrong, I'm still going to two dates but I'm more excited for the newer acts (Broadside, ATC, Waterparks, Like Pacific, With Confidence, etc) but I do love that I can still see staples like ETID, NFG, LTJ, YC, etc. TL DR: People want more surprises.
I believe that's the tour that they're paying 2 albums front to back? I could be wrong, but if it is that definitely has something to do with it.
Working on my mock schedule. I need some help with some Monster North bands times . Anyone have these? MIW CTE Atreyu Whitechapel
All packed and ready for tomorrow! If anyone's in Auburn Hills, I'm 6'7 and wearing a white t-shirt. Say hey! Also my Twitter is @igotdefeverman and I'll post the schedule as soon as I get it!
