With today's schedule, I could easily see 20 bands. Also, that Atreyu/Sum 41 conflict would kill me lol.
Situations like that are my biggest fear of going to Warped. Makes me think of when Anberlin was on their farewell tour and Linkin Park made a surprise appearance at the same set time. I think Anberlin ended up tweeting sometime to the effect of "If we get a bigger crowd than LP, we wont break up" lol
Trying to do my predictions for next year. Is TGI on main our only lock? I am having trouble if these would be monster or journeys TDWP(Thinking Monster) ABR(Monster) Memphis May Fire(Main. For some reason I see them on main) Beartooth(Monster or Main) Blessthefall(Monster) Underoath(Partial. Atreyu was monster so I would assume Monster) ETF(Main) TGI(Main) Enter Shikari(Monster or main) Also I see more radio rock playing monster so maybe In this moment or The Pretty Reckless Avatar or Nothing More or Starset
I definitely think TDWP, ABR, MMF, Underoath, ES would definitely be main. TDWP is releasing a new album this year and I still think they're relatively popular in the scene (I'm also biased because I saw TDWP at my first Warped in 2011 and it was amazing and I'm a longtime fan). Also with how big UO is, they have to be main. ABR and ES are questionable but with how popular they both are in the scene, they'll be main. I can definitely see Nothing More playing on monster next year (I thought they would play this year honestly).
Yeah with Nothing More, I feel they are up for a full run, especially considering how the Ernie ball contest helped launched them. But motionless played monster so I don't really know anymore. Enter Shikari would probably he main just due to not playing in America much. Do you think Escape the fate would be a large monster band or main stage. This years monster setup makes it harder to predict main and monster
mother f*cker that would be TERRIBLE. That is the ONE conflict I absolutely do not want... at the same time with it happening today maybe that means that, if it happens again, it won't happen for a while... with my date being on Sunday just four days from now... I don't know, is this good thinking or just wishful thinking? lol *crosses fingers*
Never thought about Avatar, that would actually be a big factor for a ticket sale for me. Escape the Fate again would be another that would help sell a ticket for me (only caught half their set last year). But yeah, the rest of those... meh. Though nothing against some like TGI and TDWP, great bands but I've seen them multiple times at this point and they haven't had enough material since then to really have me excited to see them again. Nothing More would be decent, but not a huge pull for me
I could see Emmure being very likely for Monster for some reason. Also Cane Hill doing a run again on Monster. Neck Deep seems likely for a main stage run. The Amity Affliction as well for either main or Monster.
just found out that the Lemmon Stage was in Buffalo this year since there was no Canada date. trying to find the complete schedule and it's not going so well.
12 - By the Glory 12:50 - Hitman 1:40 - The Sexy Teenagers 2:30 - Aureate 3:20 - The Residence 4:10 - We Were Kids 5:00 - Devil in the Details 5:50 - Perfect Limbs 6:40 - We Outspoken
I found that after I posted. The problem is there's at least one photo of Flight Club playing that stage at 5 so I have no idea if they played before or instead of Devil in the Details.
I think Crossfaith will be back next year unless they're recording in the summer. They seem like a band that will do Warped every other year for however long they exist a la Every Time I Die
Avatar would be great for Warped, such an underrated band. The theatrics would help draw similar to the way they do with NYD on Warped
I think so to. Don't know if they will ever main stage sized. But Kevin seems to think highly of them.
I could so Amity on either as well. They drew pretty good last year from what I saw. I expect Cane Hill to gain a lot of steam as well. I see them playing the radio rock circuit the warped. Haven't thought about Emmure. Could see them playing. Aren't they similar to Atilla, or do I have them mixed up?
Emmure has a lot of songs similar to the Attila structure yes (but they also have other more meaningful songs as well such as We Were Just Kids and MDMA). They appeal to the Attila crowd though as well as a good chunk of deathcore kids.
Was trying to remember if they were the band who Hayley Williams called out on a sexist shirt. I think they were.
If its the shirt with song lyrics I'm thinking about than yes it is. They just lost all of their members except for their lead singer Frankie last year but got a new lineup including Josh Travis of Glass Cloud recently.
Also I could see MGK playing next year, filling a spot similar to that of Waka Flocka Flame this year.
