In preparation for Chicago next week, I worked on some rankings for myself. If schedule conflicts end up being bad, I may consider also attending the Milwaukee date a few days later. Must See Sum 41 Good Charlotte Emarosa Really Want to See The Maine New Found Glory Less Than Jake Real Friends Knuckle Puck Would Like to See 3OH!3 Reel Big Fish If Nothing Else to Do Atreyu Yellowcard Mayday Parade We the Kings Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! Cruel Hand Any recommendations of anyone good I'm missing?
Clearly missing Every Time I Die in this list. Also i completely forgot 3oh!3 were on our date. Stoked for that.
Against The Current maybe? Also stoked someone else has Emarosa that high on their list. I missed them in VA Beach because of a schedule mix-up and I am not making that mistake again in MD!
It's weird thinking about the Full Sail Stage VS the Kevin Says Stage. Like I remember seeing Beartooth & Neck Deep on KS in 2014 and it was already obvious both those bands were going to be MASSIVE. Bands like With Confidence, Cane Hill, Broadside, Silent Planet I feel all have potential, but I think only WC may reach those heights.
Finally finished my rankings for my date on Sunday. Yes, the list is long. FML - last thing I want is the two main stages in there. It's different for the venues where there's a section for GA but there isn't one for Holmdel. Creates huge problems.
I purposely try to skip Holmdel because of the shit layout but I couldn't get to NY this year. The two main stages were out and about by themselves but bands like Issues were playing in the amphitheater. Chaos. Not GA meant kids jumping over rows and rows of seats and kids moshing in a 1x1ft area. Honestly was dangerous as I saw kids fall off the seats and try to leave.
So basically whatever stages are in the amphitheater are "seating only"? Weather is still a huge question mark but there's bands I want to see on every stage so I'm sure I'll end up in there at some point. Are the stages generally spread far apart?
Yes, seating only in amphitheater, which is just bullshit. Everything else was spread out fairly even. You won't walk more than 7-8 mins to the farthest stage from wherever you are.
So far I've seen cyclops and Poseidon in the ampetheater. If I remember correctly homldel has SOME ga pit standing room
All of these comments salty about amphitheater stage placement and I just count myself super lucky that the Portland date has all the stages in the Expo Center parking lot.
If the main stages are in the ampitheater in Buffalo tomorrow, you won't be reading anymore posts from me because I'll have jumped off a cliff
