If I wasn't going to Open Air this weekend I should probably just go to the Noblesville date in the 19th instead of the Milwaukee date on the 26th.
Sykes' "Gold Dust" EP is available for free download on their Soundcloud, so I converted the files into MP3, cleaned up the file info, and put them all in one .RAR file for anyone interested. Sykes - Gold Dust EP.rar
I may be alone on this, but I really hope they go back to 3-6 bands announced a week for 2017. It keeps the hype going for the tour both in the fans and online trending. Plus it allows for more discovery of smaller bands for those of us who look up each band or those like myself who create playlists.
I totally agree usually my favorite bands are smaller ones. It made it easy to digest who I liked or not. Despite all the time to digest the one big announcement. It does give people like us, who enjoy the whole warped process something to look forward to and also makes it awesome when something unexpected is announced instead of all as once.
You aren't alone. I will have been to five festivals this year. I still haven't checked out any of the bands playing Riot Fest yet because I've got Open Air and Warped Tour coming up. The weekly Warped announcements definitely made it easier to stay on top of things.
I wonder why Lyman decided to just do one big announcement and why he decided to do a live event at Full Sail.
Just doing this out of boredom. Thought you guys may find it fun. What would your dream warped tour be. I am only using active bands. Putting ten on each main stage. Left Foot(Dream Warped lineup) Paramore Bowling For Soup Beartooth Echosmith The Aquabats OC Supertones Reel Big Fish Norma Jean LIGHTS MXPX Right Foot(Dream Warped Lineup) Less than Jake Green Day Me First & The Gimme Gimmes The Offspring Fall Out Boy All Time Low Rancid Pierce The Veil Letlive Relient K
I just thought that people liked the way they did it this year because it was the old school way of doing things haha. Also I'm pretty sure that's why Kevin did it that way this year to go with his whole "back to the basics" thing, also so he didn't have people bitching about how "warped sucks now", "get good bands", etc etc and so on, I'm sure you've all heard it all lol.
You just can't please scene kids. Heaven forbid a week pass without BVB or BMTH being announced. During the weekly annoucements ,some weeks I didn't like a single band announced. It was fine with me, on to the next weeks speculation

I'm so glad the Chicago date has always been on a Saturday. Is anyone else's date always during on a weekend?
We always had it on Friday in Toronto which I liked. Had to take a day off work but it made for a great 3 day weekend. That being said, any TO folks going to Buffalo tomorrow? Weather is looking pretty questionable at this point.
Portland had always been on a Sunday until last year when it was on a Friday. Having to get a day off for Warped was a little difficult so I'm glad Portland is on a Saturday this year.
Knuckle Puck is a clear winner for me but all 3 are on my want to see list. I've been VERY lucky in past years in terms of conflicts.
