War Dogs (Todd Phillips, 2016) Movie

In the winter of 2007, David Packouz (Miles Teller) and Efraim Diveroli (Jonah Hill), two arms dealers, secure a $300 million government contract to supply weapons for U.S. allies in Afghanistan. However, they soon find themselves in danger abroad and in trouble back home

 

Didn't see a thread, but this still looks like one of the few promising movies left for the summer. Hope it's a good one!

 

Todd Philips needs to redeem himself after the last two installments of The Hangover Trilogy. I still don't even recognize those. So bad.

Haven't really been a fan of Miles Teller before, but he looks alright in this.

 

I'm excited for this one

 

Whiplash was amazing.

 

Never saw it. Never even heard of it. I'll check it out.

 

Whiplash rules. He was also great in The Spectacular Now.

 

He was also great in The Fantastic Four.

 

Spectacular Now and Whiplash are both great.

 

I'm a huge Todd Phillips fan so I'm really looking forward to seeing this.

 

This was fun. Nothing spectacular.

 

It was okay. Phillips couldn't decide if he thought these guys were totally cool and bad-ass or scumbags and I think that hurt it. Also, there wasn't a moment where I believed Hill and Teller's characters were friends at any point in life.

 

Thought this was pretty disappointing

 

Want to see it this weekend. Hate to hear you thought it was disappointing.

 

I actually really, really enjoyed this. Some weak moments, I'm not the biggest fan of Tiller and the soundtrack was silly, but Jonah Hill was great and all-in-all it held my attention.

 

I liked it, definitely entertaining.
