I enjoyed these eps, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it more as the weeks go on and things unfold but do they seriously need 7.5min of credits on a 30min show? Thats 25% of the entire run time on the first episode
Is it Lynchian on an abstract, semiotic level or is it just weird relative to Marvel? It’s not a bad thing if not, plenty of accessible stuff is influenced by Lynch, but it rarely actually feels like his stuff
I haven’t watched it yet. Do the credits roll at a normal pace? If so, then maybe there’s just a lot of people to credit on the thing.
I’d say just Lynchian in a way like “Lost” was, where it’s throwing out clues to something going on behind the scenes. Definitely not abstract as “Twin Peaks” or something, but you can see it drawing some inspiration from it.
Yeah like I said it’s not a bad thing, “Lynchian” is just one of those words that can get thrown around too casually for anything “weird”. I’m interested in what Disney/Marvel’s “weird” looks like
Really loved these first two episodes. Big Elizabeth Olsen fan and everyone involved seems like they’re having fun
This rules. Walks the line between being a parody of old sitcoms and actually being funny in the same way old sitcoms can be. Also Kathryn Hahn is in it. Need I say more
there’s a difference between “influenced by lynch” and “lynchian” almost all music is influenced by the beatles. that doesn’t mean it’s beatlesque
This was fun and a really cool concept! I feel like it's going to get a lot better as things unravel, but I honestly thought they were a little too subtle with showing hints of things not being as they seem. Makes the interesting parts few and far between for me Also Wanda totally made Vision's boss choke, right? The way Mrs. Hart was scared-laughing, shouting "stop it!" and Wanda having to reluctantly command Vision to help seemed ... Suspicious
