All I was saying is that you shouldn't hold your breath waiting for them to keep things simple because they aren't giving any indication they're interested in doing that. They want to cross certain Fox actors over into the MCU (Deadpool being the main one on that front, but also Evan Peters and who knows who else). There's also the whole thing with Sony and Spider-Man existing in both the MCU and the Sony Spider-Verse at the same time. And they're also potentially bringing the Netflix characters into the MCU with the news that Charlie Cox might be in the next Spider-Man as well. So all that real world stuff isn't going to stop being a factor any time soon. In addition to all the Marvel Studios content they're going to keep putting out that one would need to keep track of to stay up-to-date.
I'm not "holding my breath" for anything lol was just saying that my gf is turned off by the real world stuff
You said: And all I said was, essentially, "they aren't going to". That's literally all I said. And this whole absurd back-and-forth happened because of that lol
Also not for nothing but if someone can wrap their head around 23 films' worth of backstory I'm pretty confident they can wrap their head around the Disney-Fox merger lol
It's not about "wrapping their head" around it, and that sounds condescending as hell. My gf just stopped giving a shit when I started explaining the Pietro Fox/Marvel situation, because she just doesn't care. If it's handled well in the next few episodes, she'll be in, but I can already saw her eyes glaze over when I tried to explain the cameo.
I really wish the show was released all at once so there wasn’t time for what this thread has become to happen.
in an alternate, non-COVID timeline, the original release dates of MCU movies and shows rolled out smoothly and we're in the midst of enjoying it all.
Haha. Yea I think when Monica gets the assignment they reference an agent in New Jersey. Maybe I’m mixing it up and/or he also says it. Either way it was said haha.
Wow, I really liked this episode. I'm also happy to see that it appears that it isn't multiverse hijinks that brought Pietro back, he's just some guy who got shot up and then ended up "cast" as Pietro, or at least that's how I took his story and the flash to his corpse-self.
Great episode, but obviously lacking the “woah” moments of the previous 2 or 3. Felt very much like a set up episode. Lots of things hinted at and setting things up for later reveals. Not complaining though, I kind of expected an episode like this to be next.
He’s not some guy. It seems like Pietro’s corpse from AoU just like how Vision is a corpse. Somehow Wanda has gotten a hold of her brother’s corpse but somehow it’s another Quicksilver that’s alive in the fake reality
felt like the weakest ep to me so far but still more or less great Darcy In the Westview reality is gonna be a great time next week
Happy WandaVision Friday everyone! As per usual, posted my reaction/breakdown for episode 6 on YouTube. Spoiler warning! Overall, another really solid episode. I really love how they've handled the pacing of this show. It never feels like it's dragging but I also feel like we still have a ton to learn. Loving it.
Was not expecting a Malcolm in the Middle parody for the 90s lol Turning the SWORD camp into a traveling circus is a solid gag Agnes dressed as a witch was on the nose. Also she was definitely faking being "woken up" by Vision. Guess we're gonna find out who Monica's aeronautics friend is next week? Also Darcy managed to email the Director's secret file to Jimmy before she got trapped in the Hex so next week should be a big one.
