Yeah it’s been uniformly great all around. I have no complaints about it at all so far. They really knocked this one out of the park.
I just... really don't want this! Reminds me too much of the John Byrne (ew...) West Coast Avengers storyline where she lost her mind... after Vision was wiped of his memories & personality by the government, and her twins were said to be illusions & disappeared. So, I guess the pieces are, unfortunately, there if they wanna go this full villain route. But, it's a very bad route. I'd much prefer a bit of the House of M angle in there, where her powers are responsible for whatever is going on, but she herself isn't really & is the one who ultimately fixes everything. I actually love that comic, in spite of it still having some messy "crazy lady" & lack of agency elements. Something along those lines, with another villain behind everything (current online chatter is Nightmare) is a lot more workable into a good story than "scary, crazy witch lady needs stopped!"
Maybe, but Mephiso wouldn’t be used that simply. I could see Nightmare working with or for him while Nightmare is the one that gets taken out first.
Eh, I doubt this. Seems like he's pretty well-established by the time FFH takes place considering the DailyBugle.net already has a reputation of being "controversial" by then. WandaVision doesn't take place THAT much before FFH.
I do think Evan Peters is actually the Fox version of Pietro, though. I just don't think it was Wanda who brought him over.
I really hope he's not. I'm really hoping it's just a wink to the audience since *we* know who he is and that all the Fox Properties (besides Deadpool I guess) just start fresh. Oh well.
Wanda said she doesn't have the power to bring dead things back to life (at least not yet) and we know that he isn't supposed to be the MCU Pietro anyway because Darcy comments about Pietro being "recast". So a logical explanation for A) him being there, and B) her recognizing him as Pietro despite the fact that he looks nothing like ATJ, is that he's the Fox Pietro. Not saying that's the only possible explanation, it's just what I'm personally thinking.
I still think both can happen. We may get some Fox characters/actors as a part of the multiverse opening up, but nothing says Marvel won’t also start fresh with other characters. Tbh it seems kinda confusing right now, but I don’t view them as exclusive ideas.
This show is so weird I’m baffled it got green lit. Though I know nothing about the multi verse or the back story of these characters beyond the movies. Really enjoying it.
We are for sure getting MCU versions of Storm, Jubilee, Cyclops, etc. But the MCU Pietro is dead. It’s either the Fox Pietro or no Pietro at all because it was just confirmed that Wanda can’t bring the MCU Pietro back to life.
shoutout to the actor who plays Norm for absolutely killing his one scene this ep. when he instantly snapped back from begging for his life to fake sitcom cheery... chills, man
