I wanna say these guys are underrated but Shut Up and Dance is still everywhere so they're not really

I miss their quirkier, Anna Sun days but they are a rather good pop band

I dug their last album and enjoyed the new song but in my opinion, none of it compares to the first album. Absolutely loved every track on that album and still go back to it frequently.

 

i only actually started listening to them like a few months ago. the self titled album hasn't quite hit me yet.

 

It's one of those albums that I jammed the whole entire summer when I met the love of my life (that I'd end up marrying). So many good memories tied to that album.

Not much of a departure tbh, they have always occupied that popped-up rock-ish dancey schtick

 

I don't love this band but ill be damned if aquaman isn't one of the sexiest songs of the decade.

Yea they do pop rock waaaaaaaaaay better than Maroon 5 imo

I actually quite adore this band, I saw them on the Talking is Hard tour a few years back and it was an absolutely fantastic show. I'm not really expecting a departure of any kind for this new album but that's fine.

 

I back all of this. You can also tell they're having boat loads of fun on stage and truly love what they're doing.
