I’ll have to rewatch Glass Onion before this. I remember hating the cameo fest that was the first 20 mins and thinking the rest was fine with a few great moments sprinkled throughout.
I don’t think Glass Onion is bad per se, but it’s not really successful for me, especially compared to Knives Out. I was entertained well enough when I went to see it, but left the theater disappointed it wasn’t better. Could not see myself revisiting it. This being called a “smaller grounded story” is so promising, with how ungainly Glass Onion was.
Can confirm, believe those reviews, it’s great. And very much closer to the first one in tone than glass onion. Cast is great, looks great, cool story. but more importantly the whole cast (minus Josh O’Connor) showed up after the screening for a Q&A along with Rian and I was TWEAKIN!
I haven't rewatched either one, but I remember Knives out being more grounded, and a bit less farcical than Glass Onion was and so I really didn't like Glass Onion much at all. I will see if the trailer indicates what the tone will be for this one.
Had fun with both. Watched knives out maybe twice. Never rewatched glass onion but I like the stoner guy.
Pretty sure i've seen it described as the darkest one yet The above is not actually a spoiler, it's just you said you wanted to watch the trailer, so...
Haven’t ever rewatched Glass Onion. Maybe someday. I’m sure there are things about it that I liked a lot and just forgot about, but my memory only recalls a feeling of disappointment with it. Knives Out I’ve watched every other year since it came out, which I guess means a revisit is due this month
