@Sean Murphy bullied me and instructed me to tell everyone I am sat rn for knives out in the knives out thread
Very solid on round 2, like most movies I’d trim 10 minutes or so, there’s a few too many starts & stops around the middle perhaps, but it ends so perfect. “….like Star Wars ?” “Yea, like the rebels !” “….”
I am not familiar with Daryl McCormack and I spent the whole movie thinking he looked like Zachary Levi in blackface
thought this was a great one. i appreciate going in mostly blind but knowing in advance that this was a left turn for the trilogy was pretty helpful. if anything about this is weaker than glass onion it’s that most of the side characters aren’t as strongly written. but the approach taken here is pretty remarkable, and even then we get some humor out of blanc. glad i had a nearly full house for this
All the Trump/MAGA references had me rolling my eyes. Fuck Trump but I just don’t want to think about him when I’m at the cinema.
Andrew Scott legit looks at the screen at one point and says something like “No matter what you do or say we’ll still follow you”
absolutely loved this, honestly could end up being my favourite of the 3. loved how we got a character arc for Blanc finally and how it went in parallel with Jud's, the way most of the misdirects were based on that emotional connection was brilliant surprisingly moving film too, the Louise phone call really hit me in the gut. one of the best scenes of the year
