Weighted is the sickest tune… the rhythms they venture into in the last leg of the track are nutsssss

 

I know he's been out for a while now but these guys are soooo much better off without Gus. Dudes vocals have always taken me out of their music and he is generally a massive tool. Myke and Michael are a great vocal combo and it helps they can both switch between singing/screaming duties so effortlessly. R&B/pop elements really helping them here too.

 

Bend just got me super excited for this album... which is hard to do for me these days, with this kind of music.

Leave it to Volumes I guess!

 

This album is fucking sick, get stoked y’all

Also yeah, 100% this. The two of them together are easily the best vocal combo this band has had and they compliment each other so well.

 

Bend is really good. I haven’t listened to much else on this project but I used to be really into Volumes years ago when they released their debut EP and album. Second album was also dope.

 

This is their best song in at least 7 years

 

believe it or not this is a redone outtake from the via days. so glad they held onto it because it gels perfectly w this new material and sounds beautiful with where they are now as vocalists

 

This song has been on repeat for me all day.

3am drive home, nobody on the roads… the choruses and that spacious jam in the middle of the track… Ooof.

 

Holy shit, Happier? gave me chills for the first time since something off of No Sleep.

 

this rips. first two tracks and Man on Fire are as hard as anything they've ever done. Kinda getting Fightstar vibes from some of the vocal melodies here? kinda weird bc I've never gotten that from them before but the choruses of Lets Me Down and Into You especially. Barr's cadence is kinda similar so maybe that's why

Only got to listen to the first few tracks on the way to work - for me with these guys, the bar was set with No Sleep and they haven't come close since - how does this album hold up?

 

this is the best thing they've made since No Sleep by quite a long shot. there's a couple clunkers (still don't *love* Bend and Void is eh) but this is as good as they've probably ever been otherwise. the title track is right up there with Erased and Up All Night and the best of their melodic stuff

 

Michael Barr’s screams are crushing mannn…

There will be these parts where it’s all clean vocals or melodic, then he amps things up with the heavy vox and all of the sudden I’ve got the stank face before the breakdown even hits lol.

 

One of my top of the year

 

Gonna plug this song again… the back half is just incredible.

 

Their best album for me, I feel confident in saying that now
