This album is still blowing me away. Basically Depeche Mode era synthpop meets stadium-size prog meets metal and post-hardcore influences. Super unique sound, with incredible lush production that feels like you’re floating underwater. Somehow even the heaviest moments on here have this atmosphere of weightlessness to them. It’s so dope.
Cool find beachdude. Some stuff on here that definitely doesn't work for me (the vocals are iffy sometimes, Vertigo is a total snooze, some odd mixing choices) but a ton of genuinely beautiful tunes on here as well. The opener and Still are my shit rn
Man, I actually really like Vertigo haha. I think the mix of softer moments and the more high-energy tracks elevates the album a lot for me, I think they do both really well. I’m glad you’re digging this though!
Just discovered this album today, very cool. I can def hear the Dredg and heavier Mew comparisons (can say something similar for Astronoid), I also kind of hear a heavier Minus the Bear.
