They're on Nettwerk Records (label home of Smallpools and a few others), which mostly relies on streaming for their primary source of revenue. I saw the band live last night, and they only had T-shirts at their merch stand and no physical media products, which of course made me sad...

 

learning the E•MO•TION 2xLP rerelease sold out. hoping it gets restocked

 

I was actually just about to make a post saying that it's the most baffling when bands don't have any physical media for their music. Like... are you a brand or are you a band? haha. Streaming is definitely how most people listen to music, but fans WILL buy tapes, CDs, and vinyl, EVEN if they don't have a way to play it! It's at the very least a visual reminder to fans to listen to that band's album on Spotify if they're bored or whatever. When bands don't have any physical media at all, it almost feels like they don't care about their music, and then why should we?

 

FUCK I knew I should’ve hopped on that one.

 

UDiscover usually re-stocks things like that closer to the album release. I wouldn't sweat it too badly...yet.

Ever think you’ve been responsible, and then suddenly you realize you have 6 preorders? Whoops.

 

I think I just have Taylor and Cartel preorders right now. But it’s only a matter of time before I preorder those LOTR records. It’s just not a good time. Turning down Everything In Transit hurt this week.

 

I think I settled for a black copy of the old cover for $20 used or something, but if I find a cool colorway I’m double dipping. I’m holding out on a AWKIF anniversary because I can’t stand the boring silver and want the one with O Star on it.

 

I have Yellowcard, starting line, moving mountains (nebula), Taylor, alkaline trio oblivion 7” (had to), and Cartel. Want to pick up deftones this weekend at my local shop.

 

I just have Starting Line, Cartel, and Taylor preordered. Waiting on Mae news.

I need to downsize and get rid of some things to clear some space. Might take a bunch of cheap ones to the local shop this weekend, but not sure it’s worth it for $5 each.
