ended up ordering a 2x4 Kallax to stand upright in my new living room. also planning to test out a better solution for backspacers by custom cutting them from a foam board from Michaels when it comes time. the only downside to all of this is that the earliest the Kallax can get to my new place is September 3, so it'll be a couple weeks before i can unpack my records.
i'd basically filled my target-equivalent 2x2 but it was feeling pretty tight so i took some out and put them in a crate i got when i was first starting out my collection. to think i went from one crate, to two, to then a 2x2, and then some. same with comics, i used to not have enough to fill a short box with single issues, now i have 1.5 boxes full. not to mention my trades and graphic novels went from filling a single shelf to now several. honestly if you count every individual book (comics, poetry, prose), cd, record, dvd, bluray, my mid-sized bedroom probably technically counts as a library at this point (if you have >1k items in vinyl alone, shhhh)
Latest pick-up/arrival! All 4 band member signatures are on THIS ONE at least Edit: The overall mix sounds much better on vinyl than it does on streaming (by far), for those wondering.
Yikes! I was talking about the 7” vinyl I received that was missing Tim’s signature on it, but this makes me think the issue is much more widespread… I emailed Kings Road Merch and they said “they’re aware some releases are missing a signature, and they’re currently working on a solution.” I’ll follow up with them this week and let you know if I hear anything else.
An Amazon listing also popped up of the same variant for those not wanting to pay til release date: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FL77M87G/?tag=absolutepunk-20
1000% would not trust that. Prices are sus. Also I looked it up and the site has only been active for about 2 weeks.
Did anyone order the Blindside 7 inch? I had an order in on June 24th. The band posted on the 26th that they had some left in stock. I just got an email today saying my orders been cancelled due to "insufficient stock". Apparently SMLXL handles their fulfillment and not Manhead now. Needlesstosay they got a scathing email from me.
