I'm going to preface my thoughts by saying I'm from New England. Specifically, from New Hampshire, but I work in Mass in the next town over from where Transit is from. I went to a lot of the Transit VFW hall and basement shows.

I get YNE wasn't for everyone and was a huge letdown after Listen and Forgive. It was a concept album that made you feel all the New England things and was a perfect album to play on a rainy fall day. It reminded you of campfires, swimming in lakes, and walking down the cobblestones in the old part of Boston. It clicked with their fanbase here, but for everyone expecting a follow up Listen and Forgive, it was a letdown.

Young New England is a fantastic time capsule of an album.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

I like Young New England, but it's a distant third behind Listen & Forgive and Joyride (and the #GFYTN thing was funny)

Everyone gets stuck on a sound and everyone was very critical back then. Gang mentality. I see folks on my Facebook shitting on new AFI rn. I get it, it's not Black Sails... It's more Cold Cave and I'm totally all in for it. This is someone who hasn't listened to AFI since Decemberunderground.

I remember my friends shitting on Suck out the Poison by He is Legend when it came out because it was a departure from IAH. I loved it when it came out and to me it's far superior than IAH to this day. It was the same with Polar Bear Club "Death Chorus" album as well.

I think I'll dust off YNE shortly!

Damn they dropped it early! Snagged the /100.

Old school FBR was a vibe.

I was ready for a noon drop from Thirty Something. Thanks for the looks!

(I've bought 3 lps in the past hour... It never ends.)
