EXACTLY. I miss their heaviness and have always felt meh once they mellowed out after 1 & 2 so this return is a pleasant sound to my ears. Cautiously hopeful that this isn't an outlier and that the heavy is back.

 

If you search their store for west you can find the alliance only variant /500 and looks like you can buy it as well - Horizons / West - Orange & Blue Swirl (Deluxe Version) - Alliance Only Exclusive

 

I debated getting that one, but the summer sky splash is just a prettier variant.

Sucker arrived today from Urban Outfitters and they sent it in a taped up bag. The corners of the sleeve are bent, can’t exchange it because it’s sold out. Never buy a record from Urban Outfitters

 

Sounds like you got a raw deal…I’ve never had an issue with their shipping and it’s DEFINITELY never come in a taped up bag. Get your refund!

 

I’ve had them mess up down orders. I just contact customer service, they refund me and tell me to send it back. As far as I know, I’ve never sent it back and still kept the refund because they can kick rocks.

 

Usually UO has oversized boxes but still packaged well.

 

I’m parting ways with my Chroma by Cartel vinyl. I have 3 variants from the 2020 repressing:

i've only ever had one notably bad experience with UO and that was moreso OnTrac not being able to deliver. UO orders almost always comes well packaged, i've had several records in separate cardboard mailers (and a ton of bubble wrap) within a bigger box once. don't never buy from them again.

(i wait for sales tho, so idk what it's like buying preorders or newer, popular albums)

 

Have had nothing but great UO experiences and their records are consistently some of the best sounding in my collection. Sucks that there are a few bad scenarios out there but they’re definitely not a “never order from” retailer

 

Mest commented on their IG post yesterday that the vinyl pre-orders should be up by the end of the week.
