I'm a big a fan of his artwork, ESPECIALLY the Converge and Killing The Dream work he's done. I've probably got around a dozen of his prints framed and hung, then like 2 or 3 that are just too big for my current setup so they're in the closet.
I am super stoked that Sleepwalker got repressed. That album rules. Happy to have it on wax. Got to see them twice in 05 and the second time was an insane night for me. Mostly due to a best friend being with me and him confessing to some serious shit on our drive home. A memorable night. But even at the show, Jamison left the stage during I Should Mean More. Super awkward, but he did come back to finish. Not sure what that was about.
Here’s a fun question for the variant collectors: What’s the single album you own the most versions of? (this includes multiple formats) Lets hear it….
at one point, i had 5 copies of Erase Me - the deluxe 180g, the 7" boxset, the tour VIP mirrorball variant, the standard CD, and the Target CD. the mirrorball vinyl and standard CD went to my friend. i do think i have 3 copies each of Frank Ocean's Blonde and Endless - the former being the Black Friday vinyl, the standard CD, and the CD that comes with the magazine, and the latter being the vinyl, CD/DVD, and VHS
I admit I paid over $100 each for TDWP - The Act and most recently Coheed - Vaxis 1. Coheed's Afterman better get a repress soon as I already faced the fact that if not then those will also be $100+ purchases.
It’s probably Taylor Swift’s 1989 TV or Tortured Poets because I ordered a copy of each variant, so something like four of each (plus the anthology Tortured Poets). That was stupid. Other than that, it’s The Sidekicks - “Runners In The Nerved World”. I have a CD copy, a standard black LP, a black LP that came with a CD copy, a test press, and a promotional LP copy with advertising material from Epitaph and the letterhead they sent to record stores.
Outside of box sets I think SoCo’s North before the repress was the most I spent. Forgot the price maybe 175? Little more? Was eBay and a bid I think that went up right at the end and I got caught up in winning. (whatever Hannah spent on Steel Train was probably more but that was a gift)
They Might Be Giants "Flood" on cassette, CD and two different vinyl variants. Flaming Lips "The Soft Bulletin" and "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" CD, 5.1 DVD, Both In a Box Set and stand alone vinyl.
B&N is having a mini vinyl sale. 10% off all records, and 20% off their exclusives: Vinyl Record Store | Best Vinyl Records & LPs | Barnes & Noble®
Mine is Third Eye Blind - S/T on cassette (twice), CD (at least 5 times bc I kept having the discs getting scratched), vinyl (maybe 5 times as well over the years?). This album has gone 6x platinum from me alone, basically haha
Got Sucker!... it was cheaper for me to buy it in the states than it was to buy it and ship it in Canada :( Barf (I also wanted to buy all of them)
Whoever runs fulfillment for Drive-Thru now really suck. Got some generic ass reply about my IATA record and two days later, still no movement. Three weeks total since ordered an "in-hand" product. If you're going to charge these ridiculous prices, get me my orders shipped out right away. I'm not happy.
I have 2 copies of the photo album by death cab on vinyl (OG and box set), I own the cassette they released in 2016-17, and I have a burned CD copy. Just need a real CD copy. oh and my daughter’s name is Guinevere, which half counts?
I have Catch For Us The Foxes on CD and cassette, as well as the original vinyl pressing and the special edition.
forgot about counting cassettes. in that case, i'd also include The Midnight's Endless Summer. i have it on cassette and both initial vinyl releases (the first being the tracks with vocals only because they couldn't afford pressing the full album at the time)
Help please, my sister needs our nerd knowledge: “For my birthday i want to buy myself a new receiver and 4 Bluetooth speakers, two in my livingroom two in my bedroom” She has a local Best Buy and is not opposed to ordering online. What are some affordable and effective options?
the album I have the most copies of is definitely The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails. on vinyl, I have the original US promo, the ‘08 Kevin Gray cut, and the Definitive Edition. I also have a standard CD copy and a copy of the 10 year deluxe CD. how’s it sound?
