Shotland. His name is Ross Shotland. Here's the excerpt from the interview Adam did with a him a few months back.
I'm not defending Enjoy The Ride, but I had a coworker at my previous job know who he was which was random because I worked at a major candy company, nothing music related. Either way he gave me Ross's info and through paypaling him he shipped me a Rx Bandits-Progress vinyl that was out of print years ago. I say that because at the time I was like this is awesome, still have it too. However, there has always been rumblings of how he handles business, from keeping stock and then selling later at a higher price to not getting the band's involved in pressings. I am not 100% how that all works, but I remember in an interview he said he always reaches out to the band, but sometimes he never hears back ie Rx Bandits he said he reached out. He said that he goes through the correct means to license, ie the labels, so what he is doing isn't wrong since that's whose owns the material. I guess that's why Phantom Planet and Reel Big Fish tend to work with him on past releases and such because when they release something I see both bands promoting it. Again I am not defending or saying who is right or wrong, just curious what is the process when licensing a vinyl? That or I am opening a topic that will take pages to write.
Well if they are physically making more White album vinyl, feel free to print some sleeves and sell me it individuallty!
