Yeah, that's crazy! Looks like the Discogs entries are already up for each new variant, so hopefully we get notice soon.
Had somehow never heard of Gratitude before, even though I have New End Original's album a few Far songs. Really digging it.
thanks for that as I was definitely in that category! Presumed I’d have to sign up in advance to get next month’s release!
If I could go back in time to when I heard Gratitude for the first time. I already listened to Far but Gratitude opened for Jimmy during the Futures cycle and when I saw Jonah take the stage not knowing what they sounded like I was blown away. This was before the album was out. I thought this was gonna be the big break for Jonah. I saw them open for Straylight Run a year after. I think that was it.
iirc people thought the album sounded too much like Jimmy Eat World when it came out. I can definitely hear the similarities, but I think it stands on its own.
Kinda the story of Jonah’s whole career. Fans adore him, but success has seemed just out of reach. Love him so much and hope this sells out quick to show him how much people appreciate him.
I feel like Gratitude got swallowed up in a sea of bands that were doing a similar pop-rock but with an emo-punk/post-hardcore edge. The same thing with Let Go, the project from Jamie Woolford of The Stereo. But for anyone who loves Jonah's vocals and isn't aware, he's done vocals on the last 2 albums from English desert/stoner/post-hardcore/post-metal band Sons of Alpha Centauri:
Gratitude - This Is The Part was my jam back then. What's on the double LP? I have the OG pressing, dunno if I want to double dip.
I sent Dine Alone an email and they pushed through an order for me! Not sure what's going on with shop pay on their site.
I will say I have the DSS for A Perfect Circle "Mer De Noms" and it's easily one of the best sounding records I own.
I have a $200 audio technica turntable. Do you think i'll be able to hear the difference or are these releases something that would benefit more from a higher end system?
Ordered and immediately listed my SRC copy on Discogs. Should pretty much even out after fees once it sells.
Insane that they're pressing more Guerolito when it's still impossible to get a copy of The Information.
