The live set rules. Probably gonna wait for this to drop in price a bit and sell my box and replace it with this
Honestly my favorite record of theirs. I know that’s blasphemy around here but every song is a banger while some of their others have some skips. Golden Record - Self-Titled - Mother Nature is a nearly perfect 3 album run.
That is a hot take! I love some of the songs a ton ("Miles Apart" was the Dangerous Summer track I wrote about in my recent essay series) but the album as a whole is a struggle for me. I think the sequencing is all wrong, and there are a few songs I just never came around on.
one of my favorites in my collection. really amazed she didn't release any more beyond RSD abroad (only 1,000, iirc)
Those songs (OG Halcyon and the rest released around then) helped me through a pretty dark time in my life, so I'm pretty stoked to have them to play loudly now that things are a bit better.
Seems like CNN or another news network posts one of these articles around this time each year decoding what's driving the vinyl "boom": https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/14/busi...Udm4IkWwmsaSSFeyJ7_aem_gRLOxcyo_jxaLOoP7snD_Q lol at the headline of calling vinyl "decorative collectibles"...
Near Mint x Thirty Something is doing a repress of The Appleseed Cast "Mare Vitalis" with the og artwork (unlike the repress from 4ish years ago) looks like it drops Wednesday. One of the greatest emo albums imo. The Appleseed Cast - Mare Vitalis oh they removed the link
Give me Gratitude. We haven't heard from Near Mint in a while. They've been releasing hip-hop records.
