Haha funnily enough my mind went straight to Bad Brains.

There was a band called The Mile After and their album Armada had similar lightning bolts but I don’t think it fits

 

An essential (second blue copy, alongside my '09 press) an album that needs no introduction.

My all time favorite pop punk album.

This album always just makes me feel like everything is going to be okay.

 

So is that Blond pressing worth the price of admission?

 

It sounds great, the sleeves had seam splits and the actual gatefold took a bit of a hit on the edges. It's thick it's sturdy, for the amount I paid it's not worth that much. But yah know.. It's Frank.

I wonder if that means these are one of those “recycled vinyl” records?

I know Mondo did that with Wall*e. Anyone have any idea how those sound?

 

I have 3 that I can think of off the top of my head and they all sound really great. YMMV though depending on who’s pressing it, the masters, etc

 

Unsurprisingly, I ordered You Come Before You. This is a record that has been on my want list forever. I’ll be happy to have it in my collection.

But of course, I’m bummed. Having the original artwork of a record means a lot to me. So it’s frustrating knowing that I’ll have to spend money again in the future when this (hopefully) gets a proper repressing.

 

thought this album would feel “bigger,” it’s so fun! Entertaining music videos too.

 

Excuse the terrible photos but just going through my Drive-Thru records to see how it’s looking - quite happy with that! I’ve got Hellogoodbye, NFG - Screen 2 and TEN - Mother, Mechanic in the post. Mostly old pressings other than the recently released first time NFG ones etc.

Kind of regretting not snagging the EP’s and Houston Call album now but the new DTR postage to the UK is insane.

 

god they need to repress that S/T avalanche record.
