What a fantastic record.

 

I think that's first press/2000. That was the hardest one for me track down believe it or not. I had the most limited variants pretty early on in that cycle, but by the time I went for gray it was out in B9's store. I got it from ebay for like $18.

 

I'm only a state away, man. Be on the lookout for me coming to find you to steal this.

 

You should have got something but if not just get a copper wire and that should work.

 

Lucky enough to snag the Teen Suicide bonus cassette. Pressing really turned out great.

I have a friend who can get me the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon for $260 (employee discount).

I don't even know where to begin looking for speakers.

 

What's your max budget?

 

Thrift stores, 2nd hand shops, or craigslist. I have a pair of Sansui SP-5500X that sound amazing. Klipsch are also good if you wanna get something newer.

 

When I was looking at the LP120, it was $300. I think that's still where I'm at, if I buy it all in one fell swoop.

The craigslist where I live is probably the sketchiest of anywhere I've ever lived.

Need to find some good thrift shops.

 

Man, I really want that TS bonus cassette, but unfortunately not available anywhere in Australia. The 2xLP looks like it came out amazing, can't wait to get mine in the mail hopefully this week.

Otherwsie vintage speakers from a thrift store are a good low-budget option for sure. I would look out for anything Pioneer, Polk or Klipsch. Weight is generally a good indicator of quality when it comes to older speakers like that.

 

Those speakers look like they'd serve my needs for now. Definitely want a real home theater set up one day, but I'm years from that being fulfilled.

 

I hear ya man. Audio gets expensive, but the cool thing is you can spend as much or as little as you want and still have a nice setup. It's pretty much what you make it,

If you wanted to say a little money on your turntable, you could go with a U-turn turntable. I HIGHLY recommend these, and their basic model is the no contest the best turntable you can get under $200. I have the fully loaded version myself and can't say enough about it.

anyone looking to buy a new RCA cable??? I'm selling a 1m length Audioquest Evergreen RCA cable. I got a longer one so i can move my turntable.

 

I've had my u-turn for about a year and a half. absolutely love it. I have the acrylic platter and Grado Black1 upgrades and don't regret it.

 

My latest vinyl purchase was the clear with blue swirl Mean Everyrhing To Nothing that went up Tuesday. Anybody else snag one? I can't wait for it to show up.

 

I actually grabbed Like a Virgin and Simple Math. Couldn't justify spending 60 and those two just clicked with me more

Edit: I actually grabbed the 2nd press of of Simple Math because I prefer the way the variant matches the artwork

 

I was tempted to pick those up because they look great, but I already have those albums so I couldn't justify the cost.

 

They sold out stupid fast. Had no idea they only were doing a 500 run.

 

Yeah I went to put Virgin in my cart and it said it was sold out at first, but luckily someone didn't complete their purchase
