I wonder what the hell is up with the Hot Fuss repress. It's now due in January after being delayed several times already from its original summer release.

Been selling a bunch of records lately I don't spin much to help pay for some of these others, while also being able to make a little extra cash for for our wedding/honeymoon.

 

You could just ask for a new jacket. Usually they have extras lying around.

 

I once had a guy give me a bad review on eBay because I did this or complained about it.

I know. I remember the first time I got something like that I messaged the person and they explained it to me because I figured there had to be a reason. I showed the guy some blog post and basically still was upset.

 

Let me know how the sound quality on those Drake records is! Wish they had pressed Nothing Was the Same, too...

So the JEW mystery preorder turned out to be the same turquoise edition that's available everywhere else?

Yup they have a new jacket (or in this case book), just got an email reply from them this morning. So all should be well. Just sending mine back minus the discs and they'll send me a new one in return. I really didn't expect them to have extra though since these were limited and the number was hand drawn on them. But hey, good news for me!

Also a band the size of JEW the 'rarest' variant is going to be like 2500 so not that small. Most likely what this really meant was first press in the blue and then an endless 2nd black press.

I think that if you're going to do something like that it should be a separate unique variant that's not available otherwise. But I suppose you are right that it did say "rarest".

They sent out an email yesterday saying it was delayed, a few of the pressings won't be done till November 7, I believe. They were super cool about it though and gave everyone 15% off!

Was expecting a mailing to come today with: The Wonder Years - Suburbia and Into It Over It - Proper.

Problem was...no Proper in the mailing. I am pissed at MerchNOW.
