I need to know what the "More Thoughts" are.

Just noticed this last night, but my turn table is making a weird clicking noise every time the platter comes around. Additionally, if I'm playing a record, it sounds like it speeds up for a second at that same point. Any one have any ideas what's up?

 

Has it done this since you bought it or did it just start doing that? I would check for something under the platter or on the belt (if it's a belt-driven table)

 

It just started doing it yesterday morning and I've had that particular table for about a year and a half. I'll check it out tonight, but I'm not really an expert... So I guess I was just seeing what I should be looking for / potential ideas for what's up.

Yeah it started out with just wanting the first pressings, then the hot topic splatter, then different colors, and escalated from there. I've set certain limitations and price points. Like the misprint stuff and duplicate colors I will pass on. Like they are reissuing Dude Ranch on red and I already have that so I'll pass.

Of my 150 records, I'd say almost half are just blink.

 

He played "Sigh No More" by Mumford and Sons, "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap and "Blame It On Cain" by Elvis Costello at those shows. We'll see if we get all three.

The Get Up Kids were selling new copies of Guilt Show on their most recent tour. Hoping those show up online soon. I used to own it on red, but sold it a while back.

 

Somebody randomly messaged me on Discogs yesterday asking if I was willing to sell my New Surrender copy. Was that you?

Yuck. You could probably just put some black tape or something around that. It's on the inside so no one will see.

 

Yeah, it actually happened to both the disc holders, not just one. I just wish I could start getting albums undamaged. I'm actually shocked when they arrive and aren't damaged to be honest with you

 

try asking labels to put the disc outside the jacket in the sleeve
